    Rockin Robin Promotions

    As a vendor with Rockingham Ballroom, I booked a DJ for a wedding event in 2025. The venue was very accommodating and decorated beautifully for the ceremony and reception. It was great for the DJ to set up near the stage where the ceremony took place and be there for the wedding couple's music during the ceremony, dinner, and reception party. I have also been the DJ at an event at the ballroom. The lights and ambiance are so warm and cozy. The venue has a classy yet old-time elegance about it. A treasure that has been semi-frozen in time. It can be as formal or informal as one wishes for any event. I have seen the decorations for Halloween celebrations or winter holidays be over-the-top! Having the multiple livingroom areas that are part of the ballroom allows for private conversations or a place for people to escape the chatter of the crowd or music and catch some quiet time. The "game room" has a nice selection of table games: pool, ping pong, foosball. They add a nice touch for those who want an activity other than the event they attend. They truely have something for everyone to enjoy. My company loves to work with the Rockin Ballroom!!!

    First Wedding Dance Specialist

    Working with Rockingham Ballroom has been a pleasure from start to finish. I have my First Dance Wedding couples practice in the venue space prior to the wedding and they are alway very accommodating. This gives my couples confidence so there are no surprises on the day of as they are familiar with the space, the size of the dance floor and the floor itself and the seating arrangements. We are able to orientate each dip and dance skill on the floor . This is important for optimization for photos and video. A massive relief for my couples as they know how the dance will look and feel on the day of. Takes one less unknown element away from what can be a nervous aspect of the wedding. Makes it fun and happy and the guests are impressed if not flabbergasted by the couple’s incredible First Wedding Dance. A show stopper is created and enjoyed by all.

    Booking Manager at the Ballroom

    We have had many weddings here, and the couples tell us how happy they are with the venue because the vibe can be as elegant or informal as the wedding couple wants for their special day. From bringing their own arch for the wedding vows to staging the wedding and reception on different sides of the room, each couple has created their own atmosphere. We hear that because there are so many decorations already in place, it reduces the work and expense of decorating. They also like the freedom to bring their own food and are not tied to venue requirements. Parents love the price, and often the couple will rent the night before their wedding so they can decorate, rehearse, and add finishing touches for a stress-free wedding day.

    Coordinator of an 80th birthday party

    We enjoyed a fun-filled evening with many of our closest friends and relatives to celebrate a landmark birthday at the historic Rockingham Ballroom. Everything was perfect, including the planning, communicating with event coordinator, access for decorating and setting up food, cleaning up mishaps, and making sure that everything was done without us having to lift a finger! Robin, Pam and Jim were the most accomodating hosts, and I would highly recommend them and this venue for any event, especially if there is dancing, as the dance floor is heavenly!

Yes, many couples have brought in custom arches for their vow backdrop.
Yes. The venue does not have a restaurant, so you can bring food that you and your guests provide, or you can have it catered. There are no restrictions on who your caterer is. We do provide a listing of some caterers in the area who have provided food at functions.
No, the Rockingham Ballroom does not carry a liquor license. So, you can have a BYOB event, provide the liquor to your guests, or hire a licensed bartender to set up a bar with alcoholic drinks for you. Your choice.
Yes, you may add decorations to meet your needs as long as they do not damage the building. Most wedding couples find that the decorations at the venue need very little supplement. Mainly, they add table runners and small table decorations.
Approximately 140 vehicles. We have a small parking lot by the building and a larger one across the street. There is a small amount of street parking by the larger parking lot.

Yes, most wedding couples opt to rent the venue for the night before to do the decorating and to run through the wedding event. It takes off the rush and pressure on the wedding day. Even with the added night rental, the price is reasonable for a two-day wedding event.
No, the venue is open when an event is happening. Some events are public events, like comedy, bands, and dance lessons. Others are private events like birthdays, graduation parties, showers, and Jack & Jill gatherings. Reach out to schedule a tour.
Yes, we have access to sound technicians if you need one.
You can have a BYOB event, provide the liquor to your guests, or hire a licensed bartender to set up a bar with alcoholic drinks for you. Your choice.
We have a small parking lot by the building and a larger one across the street. There is a small amount of street parking by the larger parking lot. Approximately 140 vehicles can park.

If you provide liquor, there is a need for a certificate of insurance naming the venue as additionally insured. If you have a "cash bar" then the licensed bartender must provide their license and certificate of insurance.
If the GUEST cancels an event, the rental security deposit of up to $500.00 is forfeited. If the cancellation is within 45 days of the event, the guest forfeits the entire rental fee.
Your rental includes up to 8 hours from start to finish for a full wedding package on the day of the event. If a special time-based rental is created, then the rental is determined by the number of hours and can be adjusted according to need.
