About this venue

Green Meadows Petting Farm is a one-of-a-kind venue every couple dreams of. Located on 124 acres in the rolling hills of the greater Washington, D.C. metro area and the southern part of Frederick County, MD, this unique Agri-tourism venue features nearly 150 farm animals as a picturesque backdrop or included as part of a couples’ special day. The view of the rolling pastures with animals, historic Manor house, old barns & majestic trees, will have guests in awe. The day may begin with a ceremony in the Hay Mow, a majestic 100+ year old hay barn as guests are seated on covered bales of hay for a unique, yet charming touch of country. Or the day may begin with an outdoor ceremony in the shadows of the stately white Manor house built circa 1790. The celebration continues as the party transitions to The Stables. The tall cathedral ceiling is supported with beams of dark wood decorated with white lights & paper lanterns. The Stable’s capacity of 200 is perfect for year-round events.

Summer wedding guests will appreciate the country breeze created by the opening of the Stable’s large double doors. Yet, the heated Stables will keep everyone warm during the chillier winter months.

    I can't express enough how magical our wedding at Green Meadows Farm was! From the moment we arrived, the rustic charm greeted us in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The beautiful landscapes, charming barn, and the gentle presence of animals created a perfect atmosphere for our special day. It truly felt like a home away from home. Lauren and Ken, the owners, were the sweetest couple I could have ever hoped for. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, making us feel like part of their family rather than just another couple. Their genuine warmth and personal touches made the entire experience unforgettable. I am definitely going to miss working with them but excited to say hello at future events! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the unique setting and the peaceful vibe. The farm's natural beauty radiated love and joy, making it the ideal venue for our celebration. I highly recommend Green Meadows Farm to anyone looking for a charming, rustic venue with heart. Thank you, Lauren and Ken, for making our wedding day so special!

    I remember when I told my friend the wedding venue I picked was a petting zoo she immediately said that’s the most iconic wedding venue ever! And it definitely lived up to it! We opted to have a farm visit so our guests could tour the farm and pet the animals before the ceremony. Almost a year later and our fiends still talk about it! There is a bridal suite in the main house, so you can get ready on site. The owners are the sweetest people. Lauren offers officiation, and she did our wedding. She has such a great personality and we were extremely pleased with her! You are allowed to choose your caterer - which was huge for us in the decision making. We held our rehearsal there the night before and was able to stay after to do some set up the night before. There is plenty of parking! Just 100% great things to be said about my experience!
