About this venue

Carawood Lake is a unique nature escape and campground located in the heart of Lorain county, featuring a pristine 2-acre lake, a rustic, climate-controlled Lodge with seating for 25-150, a large lakeside lawn perfect for outdoor events, lots of gorgeous little nooks amongst the trees for pictures, and space for your entire party to camp on the grounds overnight following your wedding. Our vibe is rustic, park-like, peaceful, and casual. We are a small, family-owned venue that offers amazing flexibility when planning your wedding. We allow you to use any licensed caterer of your choice, park a food truck right next to our covered patio, or even bring your own food and alcohol. Our Wedding Packages also come with tables, chairs, tablecloths, chair covers, AV equipment, and access to our "Something Borrowed Closet", which is a like our own little library stocked with common centerpiece items, like glass jars, vases, candlesticks, mirrors, and more. We can't wait to meet you!!

Description

This is our standard Wedding Package. Pricing varies based on the season and day of the week. Access is from 8 am until midnight plus 2 hours for rehearsal and/or set-up the evening before.

Overnight Package

Peak pricing $6,500

Description

This package includes everything in the All-Day Reception Package PLUS the ability for your entire party to stay on the grounds overnight. Reservation is from 8 am on Saturday through 2 pm on Sunday. This package is only available from May through October.

Elopement Package

50 guests

Peak pricing $900

Off-peak pricing $600-1,350

Description

This package is designed for small, intimate ceremonies that require only 6 tables or less for guest seating. Access is for 10 hours between noon and midnight. It includes everything in the All-Day Reception package, with the exception of the 2 hours for rehearsal/set-up the day before which is not guaranteed; if the day before the event is not booked, this time is included for free. This package is NOT available on weekends May through October.

    Carawood was the perfect place for our fall family party! The lodge had plenty of room and looked beautiful with all of the twinkling ceiling lights. We had a bonfire on the lawn. It was a great place to hang out by the lake. Suzanne was wonderful to work with and made planning super easy. We will definitely book here again!

    I helped my mother-in-law plan her wedding at Carawood Lake this fall and everything about the process was wonderful. Suzanne is a very warm and responsive communicator. The grounds are extensive and the view of the lake from the back patio of the venue was beautiful. A highlight was the bonfire after dinner when all the guests roasted s’mores next to the lake. It was such a wonderful day. It was the perfect place to have an intimate, private wedding surrounded by nature.
