Hi! I’m Katie, the founder and lead planner behind Under the Willow Events. I started this business in 2021 with one simple goal: to help couples feel calm, confident, and fully present on one of the most meaningful days of their lives. I specialize in partial planning and month-of coordination because no two weddings are the same. My role is to step in with guidance, organization, and a calm presence so you can actually enjoy your engagement and wedding day. On your wedding day, I’m the person quietly working behind the scenes managing the timeline, coordinating with your vendor team, and making sure every detail comes together smoothly.

Many of the couples I work with are planning a wedding for the first time, which is exactly why I love what I do. I’m here to make the process feel easier, more organized, and far less overwhelming from the very beginning all the way to the final dance. I genuinely care about your experience and am committed to being by your side every step of the way. On wedding day, my top priority is ensuring everything runs smoothly by managing the timeline and working seamlessly with your entire vendor team.

Day-Of Coordination is ideal for couples who have handled the planning but want a professional to take the reins on the big day. We’ll step in about 4–6 weeks before your wedding to review your plans, confirm vendor details, create a detailed timeline, and manage all the moving parts so you don’t have to. From setup to send-off, we’ll make sure everything runs smoothly - allowing you to be fully present and soak in every moment.

Having Katie as our month-of coordinator was the best choice we made for our wedding. She was the reason that everything went as smoothly as possible. Katie helped us figure out details leading up to the wedding day that we would have never thought of if not for her. She led our rehearsal the night before with helpful advice from her past experiences, and she helped manage our 6 other vendors on the wedding day while handling any issue that arose and also making sure we got a chance to eat and drink. Her day-of coordination brought so much peace of mind that everything was being handled, I felt like I could actually relax and enjoy the day knowing she had it all covered.

Hiring Katie from Under The Willow Events was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding (second only to marrying my husband!). I was originally skeptical about needing a coordinator, but it was the best choice. Katie went above and beyond in every way—she ran our rehearsal flawlessly, kept everything on track on the big day, and truly was the star of the show behind the scenes. From setting up our s’mores bar to bustling my dress to running every second of the day, she made the whole process feel effortless for us, and I honestly wish I could hire her to organize my everyday life. Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without her!

In the past, I’ve successfully managed multiple weddings in a single weekend. At this stage, however, I intentionally limit my calendar to one wedding per weekend. This allows me to be fully present, attend your rehearsal, and give you my complete focus and attention in the days leading up to your celebration.

Couples book my services at all different stages - some secure month-of coordination just a few months before their wedding, while others reserve their date 12–18 months in advance. That said, popular dates tend to fill quickly, often 9–12 months out. Once you know you’d like support, it’s always best to reach out sooner rather than later to ensure your date is available.

With month-of coordination, you handle the planning and we step in during the final 30–60 days to confirm details, connect with vendors, build your timeline, and ensure everything runs smoothly on the wedding day. Partial planning offers support much earlier - regular check-ins, more vendor communication, decision-making assistance, design & styling guidance, and create a cohesive mood board to tie everything together. It’s a more hands-on partnership throughout your engagement. Couples who want added guidance, live out of town, or simply prefer a more supported planning experience often choose partial planning for the extra peace of mind.

Yes, a signed contract and 25% deposit is required to secure your date.

My planning process is designed to feel simple and supportive from start to finish: Inquiry → Consultation → Contract → Planning Phase → Wedding Week Support While those are the core steps, what truly matters are the conversations we have along the way. From our very first call through the final details, we’ll spend time understanding what’s most important to you so your wedding day reflects your priorities and vision. My role is to protect that vision, guide you through decisions with clarity, and ensure everything comes together seamlessly when the day arrives.
