With the Full-service planning option, you are still in charge of making decision but I take care of all of the leg work of planning a wedding, including reaching out to vendors, and getting all the information we need to present it to you on a silver platter!

The Partial Planning option includes everything from the Wedding Day Management package, plus 10 hours of wedding planning help, that you get to choose how to utilize!

Wedding Day management is the perfect option for couples that can handle most of the wedding planning themselves, but want someone to put it all together, create a detailed timeline, and manage vendors, wedding party and all the logistics on the wedding day!

Event design helps couple put together their vision to be able to come to floral designer and rental company with a clear idea and plan!

    A MUST HAVE!

    Kelly is a MUST HAVE for the TYPE A, DETAIL ORIENTED bride!! At first I didn’t think I needed a wedding planner because I’m such a planner myself! BOY, WAS I WRONG!! I NEEDED KELLY to make sure all those little details were brought to life! The second I hired Kelly, I felt an instant weight lifted off my shoulders because I knew I was in good hands. She took my vision and made sure my vision was honored and DONE RIGHT! Not only did she make sure our decor was on point, but she created our personal wedding timeline, managed family dynamics on the wedding day, and made sure the wedding day went PERFECTLY! If you don’t think you need Kelly, YOU DO!

Us wedding planners have planned and coordinated so many weddings that we know what can happen, what to avoid, and how to be prepared for every situation to ensure that no matter what happens on your special day, we will be able to manage it without you even noticing. We are unique because of who we are, but most importantly, because of our client-based approach.As you probably saw on the top of the home page of the website, we believe in ‘FRIENDSHIP’. We aren’t wedding planners because we want money or fame. We do this because we love people, we love to be helpful, but more importantly, we love love. We want to connect with you and your family on a much deeper level; a level that will make us understand you as a person in order to understand how to achieve your perfect event. We thrive on honesty, laughter, and having a good time, all while being extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Let’s meet over a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, via zoom or even just over the phone! I love to hear and see you in order for me to establish who you are, what your vision is, and how much help you might need. From there, we will create a proposal that is completely customized to your needs.
Now! It’s never too early or too late to book a wedding or event planner. At The Main Event, we don’t believe in making you wait until ‘6 weeks prior’ to help with your “day-of coordination”, or having to book at least a year prior to assist you in a full service planning. We have planned full weddings in less than 3 weeks, and have helped couple manage their wedding day more than 2 years in advance. Whenever you feel the need to have someone alongside to answer all your questions and make sure your event is on the right track, just let us know, we will be here!
The main difference is that we work exclusively for you and your family, while a venue coordinator or a catering manager’s primarily focus is the venue, the staff, and the food. While the venue and catering manager will ensure everything happens smoothly on property only, we would be with you from the moment you start getting your hair and make up in your hotel room, following you around while taking pictures outside, to making sure every guests get onto the bus to make it to the ceremony on time.
That’s great! No matter what stage of planning you are in, our team will pick up fully to manage planning, logistics and design. We can always recommend vendors for you based on your needs, location and budget, but we love meeting and working with new vendors as well!
We sure do! We are mainly based in Upstate New York (Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Troy) but love to travel anywhere in the world. The Bonus: Kelly speaks fluently French and English, and can understand Spanish as well! So no matter where we go, we can always get by.
In order to be considered a client of The Main Event, you need to have returned a signed contract, alongside with your specific retainer. For most proposals, a 50% retainer is due with the signed contract.
