My work embodies a candid approach to the traditional standard and my inspiration stems from genuine human connection. Your wedding is a beautiful combination of so many moving parts and it’s my true calling to capture the magic as it unfolds.

I’m naturally drawn to moments that are filled with life and am humbled by authentic people. I am an adventurer, a story teller, details seeker and prioritize experience and trust over everything. Capturing the little things and all the big feelings is what lights up my soul and I’m honored to be invited into such an intimate milestone.

    Fantastic Photos from Fantastic People

    It was fantastic to have Megan & the Von Schonhoff Team at our June 2024 wedding. Megan did an incredible job capturing the emotions of everyone throughout the day. She had a vision of how to get the best possible pictures, and did a wonderful job bringing out the best in everyone. I'd recommend Megan's work wholeheartedly for anyone and everyone getting married in the Chicago area.

Most clients book me about a year in advance, sometimes even two years out. There are occasional spontaneous requests I’m able to accommodate but the sooner you reach out, the more likely the date is open on my calendar.
No, as I believe editing is crucial step and part of the magic is created in post production. Without editing, the images are only half baked, so to speak.
There are so many benefits to having a second photographer. They double the coverage in the same amount of time which makes it less likely spontaneous images are missed during the day. It allows simultaneous coverage in different locations and they are able to capture alternate perspectives during important moments. That said, I’m completely comfortable covering your wedding independently but it’s always a benefit to have an extra human with cameras.
