About Vintage Focus Portraits

Timestopped Productions

We are a husband-and-wife photography team offering a blend of digital, 35mm film, and large-format 4×5 portraiture. Our work combines the artistry of traditional film with the storytelling of modern digital photography. Jake specializes in handcrafted 4×5 and film imagery, while Madison captures the day with an eye for emotion, movement, and connection. Each image is created with intention, allowing us to preserve your story in a way that feels both timeless and true.

We create timeless, handcrafted imagery for couples who want more than a collection of digital files. Blending digital photography, 35mm film, and large-format 4×5 portraiture, we document your story with both modern storytelling and traditional craftsmanship. From emotional digital moments to darkroom-developed 4×5 heirlooms, every session is designed to create images that are intimate, enduring, and unmistakably yours.

    Perfection every time

I have used Jake and Madison with Timestopped Productions multiple times now. They are absolutely amazing at taking your vision and turning it into real life images. Me and my husband have no clue how to pose or be in front of the camera. They are great at making you feel so comfortable and positioning you for the perfect shot. I am in an artistic career field so I deeply appreciate their attention to every little detail. In the past when I’ve used other photographers I have only liked a couple photos out of the entire bunch. With Timestopped productions it’s hard to choose which ones to print, post, send to family because we love every single photo taken. They truly are so talented, efficient, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!

    Fantastic Wedding Photographer

Timestopped Productions was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding photography. Their communication was fantastic - they were always reaching out to check in and make sure we were on the same page. The quality of their work was exceptional, with beautiful colors and a great mix of film and digital photography that captured our day perfectly. They went above and beyond, asking us ahead of time for a list of our top 3 moments we wanted captured, and then making sure to get those special shots. During the wedding day, they took their time to find the perfect places to shoot before the reception, and then flawlessly captured every moment during the reception. It was fun working with the two of them together, and they were very organized and professional, yet also made us feel so comfortable while taking our photos. We are thrilled with how our wedding photos turned out and would highly recommend Timestopped Productions to any couple looking for a wedding photographer!

    Amazing!

Can't say enough good things about our experience! Jake captured our best day's best moments wonderfully and the final product was better than we could have hoped for. Highlight was a candid capture of my elderly grandpa and I doing our 'secret' handshake - had no idea he caught that and my mom burst into happy tears when we saw it in the video. No complaints, just beautiful memories preserved beautifully.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
The number of images you receive depends on the package you choose and the length of coverage. For our 35mm full wedding packages, you can expect approximately 25–75 images per hour of shooting time. For our vintage-focused portrait packages, each guest who has a portrait taken will receive a digital image and/or a handcrafted print, depending on the package selected. If you’d like more specific details, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help!
Yes. My wife assists or serves as a second shooter at every wedding and event. Having two of us allows for more coverage, perspectives, and attention to detail throughout the day. For our vintage-focused portrait packages, she plays an essential role by assisting with film handling, guiding portrait posing, taking light readings, and adjusting lighting as needed. This ensures each portrait is carefully crafted and consistent with the vintage aesthetic we’re known for.
Yes. For weddings, I offer full-day coverage with film-only or hybrid digital + film options. Engagement sessions can also be photographed on film, digital, or a combination of both. We’ll choose the approach that best fits your vision, timeline, and priorities.
Vintage Portraits are large-format 4×5 film portraits created during your wedding or event. Each portrait is carefully composed, individually lit, and photographed on sheet film. Guests who participate receive a digital scan and have the option to order handcrafted darkroom prints, made using traditional printing techniques for a truly heirloom-quality result.
Film photography is slower, more intentional, and focused on capturing moments as they naturally unfold. I shoot with purpose, paying close attention to light, composition, and timing. The result is imagery with a timeless, organic quality that can’t be replicated digitally. You’ll still receive a complete, thoughtfully curated gallery—just created with a more hands-on, craft-driven approach.
