Hi I'm Liz, the principal photographer for Third Strand Photography! My favorite part of working in this industry is being invited into the most sacred moments of our client's lives. Year after year I am blessed to work with the best couples! Based out of San Diego, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't look for new ways to document the beauty around me. After college, I married the love of my life, David. We began to see the lasting value that photography provides, and in 2012 we started our own studio... we've never looked back! We couldn't be more thankful for the places & for the joy that photography has brought us!

Our couples aren't just a date on the calendar to us. We only take a limited number of weddings each year. Because of this, we try to work with couples who we connect well with and make service level a priority!

Typically, couples book me about 9 months to a year out from their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, especially because the 2021 season is going to be more busy than usual. If you are on a shorter timeline, please don't hesitate to contact me as well!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
You can expect about 50-60 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
While I do not offer videography, I do work with a few outstanding videographers to give you full wedding day coverage! Send me a message and I'll get the info over to you!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also retouch portraits and photos I think need it a little extra touch!
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra.
