Hi! I’m Jess, the photographer behind Salem Smith Photography. I’m based in Salem, Oregon and photograph weddings, couples, and families throughout the Willamette Valley and beyond in a way that feels relaxed, fun, and natural. I’m passionate about capturing the real moments that make your relationship and story unique. The small moments, the laughter, the happy chaos, and all the little things you’ll want to remember years from now. My style is warm, candid, and connection-focused, and I want the entire experience to feel easy and stress-free from start to finish.

I focus on creating a really comfortable experience from start to finish. Most of my couples are not professional models and usually start out saying they feel awkward in photos. I guide you through the entire session in a way that feels natural and easy so you never have to wonder what to do. My style is candid, warm, and connection-focused with a mix of gentle direction and real moments. I want your photos to actually feel like your relationship, not a Pinterest photoshoot.

    Easy to work with

    Working with Salem Smith Photography was a breeze from start to finish. Jessica communicated with us quickly and made the whole process feel effortless, which took so much stress off our plate.
