Hi & Welcome to Otto Kelly Photography. My name is Susan and I am the Lead Photographer. Otto Kelly Photography is also a wife & husband team when hiring both Photo + Video. We are San Diego based and have been capturing weddings since 2016. We love traveling throughout Southern California and get the opportunity to capture so many amazing couples every year.

What sets us apart is the dedication we put in every session and wedding we capture. We treat all our clients the same, regardless of how big or small their wedding is or the package they choose.     Amazing photographer!

    Susan was amazing to work with. My fiance and I were wanting formal engagement photos for our Save the Dates and social media and the photos turned out amazing! Susan was very communicative and easy to coordinate with. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and professional with helping us pose naturally as it was our first formal photo shoot and were very nervous and inexperienced at the time. She was very open to adding in any props/shots that we wanted but also was able to take the lead when we needed. The delivery of photos was easy and her editing style is gorgeous. I would highly recommend her, I still love looking at the photos, they were perfect for wedding decor.

    Susan is a wonderful photographer!

    We absolutely loved having Susan capture our most special days. We first met Susan when we took our engagement photos at Sunset Cliffs; it was our first time doing something like that, and we were nervous but Susan made us feel so comfortable. We ended up having such a great time and actually having a lot of fun; and when we got our photos back we were thrilled. We knew we wanted to Susan to also capture us wearing our traditional korean hanbok at Balboa Park, a place that's very special to us, and at our wedding . We loved the photos, and they are now such a special way for us to remember our wedding day and all the moments in between. We highly recommend Susan, and you will not go wrong having her as your photographer! She is so organized, makes you feel comfortable and fun, and we got so many compliments on the photos.

    Amazing work!!

    Susan was amazing to work with for our wedding! She was always quick to respond to questions I had leading up to our wedding and on the big day she was so calming and gave great direction. Susan’s photos turned out sooo beautifully!! Everyone keeps telling me how amazing they are and my husband and I agree 100%. I can’t say enough great things about her and will recommend her to anyone I know who needs photos. Extra bonus, her husband did our video and was also amazing! What a great combo!

Some of the ways our business stands out is the flexibility and time we devote to our clientele. We treat all our clients the same no matter the session or event. We have had the pleasure of capturing weddings, pregnancy announcements/maternity, and family sessions over the years for the same families. This is pretty amazing!
Otto Kelly Photography is a husband and wife owned business. We have been capturing events for over 8 years and we are still in love with every aspect of what we do. It's such a honor to be asked to capture special moments from a session or event. We always strive to create beautiful images and films our clients cannot wait to share to their family and friends.
We offer both photography and videography services. If you are only interested in one service that works too! We work great with all vendors. If you don't see a package that fits your timeline please let us know. We offer individualized quotes as well. :)
No, you will not but this is a good thing! Images are carefully selected so you can enjoy your final gallery. We eliminate duplicates, very unfocused or blurry images, and unflattering shots captured during those candid moments. We take lots of images in order to capture and create the ones we feel our clients will love the most. We spend time looking through all of them so our clients don't have to. Most of the time clients receive more than the average listed. For film, we deliver all RAW footage. Other businesses often charge extra for all the film captured during your wedding. We're happy we can offer this to clients!
Images are taken in RAW format and then edited using professional editing software. We use Lightroom and Photoshop to adjust the colors, crop, and sometimes remove unwanted objects. Final images are exported in Jpeg format which is perfect for media sharing and very large prints & wall decor. Images are delivered through a personalized online gallery with digital download. On average clients receive 80-120 images per hour of coverage. Please check out packages to learn more about how many images are included. Once again, this is simply an average and most of the time clients receive more than less.
Yes a Retainer is always required to officially secure a date. The officially time frame doesn't not have to be chosen right away. If a couple has already booked their wedding venue and are confident the date will not change then I recommend placing a Retainer right away. Retainers are non-refundable and non-transferable to another individual or to a different date. Some dates are in high demand so when a retainer is placed we must turn away other potential clients which is why retainers are non-refundable.
Reach out! Please include your full name, date, location of venue, and how many hours of coverage you are seeking. We will respond within 48 hours or sooner. If you do not hear from us please try again. Rarely do emails get sent to spam/trash but it can happen! Once we contact you please let us know if you would like to set up a meeting in person or over the phone. We work with clients all the time who live out-of-state so this optional. Communication and contracts can take place online if this is easiest for the client. Then most importantly let us know soon if you are interested and we will put together a contract for you right away.
Yes, absolutely! Photographers love to post their best work but consistency is also very important. We have lots of examples from each wedding on our website but love sharing full galleries as well. We want our clients to feel comfortable and excited when they book us for their big day. Let us know and we can send you a sample gallery. Don't forget to check out our reviews.
