Photographer

I am a photographer born and raised in Queens, NY yet now residing in the Hampton Roads, VA area. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband, and a father of four wonderful kids. I've been a photographer since 2016. I enjoy capturing those candid moments because those are special moments in time that can't be recreated or duplicated. I started New Light Creation Photography shortly after I began taking pictures. I came up with the name because, as we often see some things in black and white I seek to offer a third option. Or shall I say a new light if you will? I want to offer a different way of how you view yourself and how others see you.

My focus is your wedding day. From beginning to end I'm very hands on. I like to be actively assisting in capturing every intricate detail of what matters to you. The process for my clients is very transparent and seamless to the client.

    Working with NLC PORTRAITS LLC for our wedding photography was a great experience. The photos were all lightly edited to look very natural, and were given the option for vintage as well. Melvin always made sure to check in on me to make sure I was doing alright during the hustle before the ceremony, and he was great at making the couples photos feel less staged and more natural. He was also fast with communication, and got the photo album back to us very quickly. We would definitely ask Melvin to be our photographer again in the future.
