I'm Caty-Scarlett! Owner and crazy woman of Love and Lore Photography. I document love through a documentary driven perception and I would define myself as a wedding photo historian. I shoot lovers particularly in Virginia and across New England. Take me anywhere! Some places that are close to home are Dalton, Ohio. Boston and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Not to mention Shenandoah National Park and Coalton, WV.

I thrive on the unorthodox and the quirky, I.E. When my couples bring their cats to their wedding. Cutting into a big ass cinnamon roll, tossing buttercream to the wind. Saying "Forever with you," on the cliffs of Martha's Vineyard. If you love banter, Princess Bride references, and snacks: I also have those on deck.

    Candid, Comfortable, Confident, Caring, Creative!

    Caty-Scarlett (and her second shooter, Sean) were an ABSOLUTE JOY to work with for our Shenandoah wedding! She jumped right into our vision and took the time to actually get to know us as a couple and the style we were looking for (documentary-esque/non-staged/natural). Clear, honest communication and incredibly helpful throughout the process on a very compressed timeline. She captured our family and friends emotions so beautifully over the course of our long weekend celebration and truly created pictures that we constantly reference. Attentive to the details, flexible and didn't pressure us, even took the time to remember our immediate family's names for group shots. Outstanding human being, we can't wait for our next adventure shoot!

You can expect about 400 to 900 images within an 8-hour wedding package. The amount of images runs the gamut based on a variety of factors.
I work with video clientele on a case-by-case basis. Passion projects or nothing.

Each image in your gallery will be fully-edited and exported as high-res JPEG files. I do not offer RAW files under any circumstances.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
I work with a second shooter when my couples request an extra pair of hands! A second shooter may be added to your package at an additional fee of $500.00; this usually results in an additional 200-250 photos!
