Chelsea Brown
I've been photographing weddings full time since 2011. When I'm not chasing after wedding parties, my husband and I live to travel. We're avid scuba divers, love exploring, and get overly excited when we find a new brewery or speakeasy. We met at the University of Michigan and we stayed in Ann Arbor because it felt too much like home to leave.

Chelsea is the best!
We started the process with Chelsea over a year before our wedding and interviewed several photographers. Chelsea had the best communication style, knew the area extremely well, and had pricing in our budget. The engagement shoot around Ann Arbor was perfect, including pictures near iconic buildings, hideaways, and our favorite bar. The pictures turned out great and we knew we were in good hands for the wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Chelsea worked with us to create the schedule, list of must-have pictures, and work through logistics. We booked a 2nd photographer through Chelsea as well, Amanda, who was also amazing. Chelsea arrived early on the day to scope out picture locations around our getting ready hotel and found a beautiful first look spot. She found beautiful spots for our photoshoot in Greenfield Village too. Chelsea and Amanda handled our large family photos after the ceremony like the pros they are. We've received our "sneak peek" photos (over 100 pictures!) and are thrilled we went with Chelsea.
Warm, welcoming, professional visual artist
I've worked with Chelsea for close to a decade, and after our first couple of weddings together she has been a top recommendation for my couples and friends throughout that time, to the point that she was our own wedding photographer. Her warmth, listening, and creative instructions made it easy to take pictures throughout the day, and that same ability to communicate and be friendly makes her ideal to collaborate with as a vendor. It's hard to explain how much poise and adaptability is needed to be great at weddings, but Chelsea sets herself apart from just being a great photographer (which she is!) with these skills that make her great on a wedding day.
Chelsea is great!!
I had a lot of wonderful vendors for my wedding, but Chelsea was by far my favorite. She was very timely in her communications and really listened to what my husband/I wanted to achieve with our photos. On the day of, she was professional and helped us relax and have fun! We lived out of state so couldn't do engagement photos, so she was very flexible with working with us to customize our package based on our needs. I highly recommend working with Chelsea- you won't regret it!
