Meet You at the Altar exists to help couples feel seen, grounded, and genuinely represented at one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. I provide inclusive, personalized wedding experiences for couples who want something that reflects who they are—not a script or template. As a non-denominational officiant serving Maryland and Washington, DC, I work with couples across identities, faith backgrounds, and life stages, including hetero, LGBTQ, Jewish, Christian, interfaith, and blended families.

With more than 25 years in hospitality and the wedding industry, I bring calm leadership and emotional steadiness to every wedding day. My approach is collaborative and reassuring, allowing couples to be fully present while I guide the moment with intention and care. Every love story is beautiful, and I celebrate each with dignity, meaning, and warmth.

    Having Laura from Meet You at the Altar officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we could tell that she truly cared about making our ceremony personal and meaningful. Although we are good friends, Laura took the time to get to know us as a couple, our love story, and the unique aspects of our relationship that we wanted to highlight. On the day of, her warm and caring demeanor put us both at ease, and she delivered a heartfelt ceremony that reflected our personalities and relationship perfectly.     Laura was fantastic. She met with us multiple times before the event to formulate our perfect ceremony. She clearly has lots of experience as she was able to give us many options to choose from when creating the custom officiant script. The day of, she led it beautifully and it was unforgettable. Would highly recommend!
