Ipanema Beauty Bar is a boutique hair studio in Sausalito, five minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. Our founder Claudia is a trichologist as well as a stylist, which means we look at the health of your hair before we style it. Every bride starts with a complimentary Hair & Scalp Analysis using professional trichoscope imaging. You see your own scalp on screen and leave with an honest plan for the weeks before your wedding, at no charge and no obligation. From there: hair preparation programs, premium Brazilian hair extensions installed four to six weeks out, and hair and makeup for you and your party on the day.

Most beauty vendors meet the bride for a trial, then again on the wedding morning. We start eight weeks earlier, because hair that is shedding, dry or breaking will not hold a style, and no extension should go onto a scalp nobody has looked at. Claudia is a trichologist, and every hair client here begins with an analysis instead of a price list. If your hair is not ready for what you are asking for, she will say so, and there is still time to fix it.
