No, and it never will. Airbrush is a tool, not a tier. We use a hybrid approach on every face because the formula that photographs beautifully on one person can look heavy and dry on another. Your artist chooses the right product for your skin, your climate, and your camera. If you have had airbrush before and hated it, you did not have the wrong technique — you had the wrong formula for your skin.
It is the difference between hiring artists and hiring a beauty department. After everyone is out of the chair, an artist stays with you on site for up to four hours: shine and sweat control, lip touch-ups between courses, tear mitigation, hair placement and weather control, and facial expression checks before key photos. We also capture behind-the-scenes photo and video. Support extends to every guest on your booking, not just you.
Peak Saturdays in both markets are typically claimed nine to twelve months out. Dates are held with a signed contract and a retainer, not with a verbal hold or an email. Payment plans are available, including 0% financing through Klarna and Afterpay with approval.
Yes, and it is the reason our pricing looks the way it does. We staff to headcount rather than to budget, and we write a per-person timeline backward from your first look before the day. That schedule is shared with your planner and your photographer so nobody is guessing. A cheaper quote usually means one artist, one chair, and a party of nine running ninety minutes behind.

    True Professionals!!!

    City Lights came to my home to help myself and a friend look fabulous for a formal event we were attending that evening. From our consultation over the phone, to contracts, deposits/payment, tips for getting ready prior to the appointment... City Lights Beauty thinks of EVERYTHING. The appointment day was exceptional as well. Paula truly makes you feel at ease because she's so experienced and confidant in what she's doing. (She's also friendly and funny!) I'd recommend City Lights to anyone needing make-up and hair, and I'd book them again without hesitation!

    The Best!!!

    I have worked with City Lights Beauty Agency and Paula for several years now and they are the best. I have never been disappointed in my hair and makeup when they are finished. They listen to exactly what I want each time and they adjust to each of my events and attire and give me the look that best fits it. They ask in advance for inspo picture and my attire for the event so they can come prepared the day of. They always take their time and explain what they are doing and aak if it is acceptable to me or if I want any changes. I am always blown away by the final results.

    I had an amazing experience with Paula! From the moment we started, she made me feel comfortable and created a makeup routine that fit both my skill level and my lifestyle. One of my favorite parts of the session was that I was able to record everything, so I can go back and rewatch it whenever I need a refresher. She also had me practice on one side of my face after demonstrating on the other, which really helped me build confidence. The complimentary brushes included with the session were a fantastic bonus! The techniques Paula taught me have completely changed my makeup routine. Before working with her, my makeup would disappear by midday. Now it lasts all day and looks so much better! She also followed up with links to all the recommended products and a personalized list of shades that work best for me, which made shopping so much easier. As an added bonus, Paula ended our session with a mini airbrush makeup lesson, and the results were incredible. My makeup looked absolutely flawless and lasted all day—I was genuinely sad to wash it off that night! I’ve received so many compliments on my makeup since my lesson with Paula, and I finally feel confident applying it myself. If you’re considering booking a lesson with her, do it!
