Emily Lynn & Co. is a team of hair stylists and makeup artists based in Los Angeles, California, founded by Emily Wright. We specialize in natural, glowing airbrush makeup and effortless, modern, and romantic hair styles. You feeling like you is our vibe!!! We work with brides to create their DREAM wedding day look that will be stunning on camera/HD, last all night long, and allow our brides to feel like themselves.

Emily and the team provide on-site hair and makeup services for clients all over Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Catalina Island, and destination! With experience on union film and Emmy Nominated television sets, the professionalism and attention to detail is what separates our team. From smokey-eye-glam, to old Hollywood, to effortless, beach-y wave, and natural - our goal is for you to feel seen, feel encouraged, and feel empowered.

Every artist on our team will be able to execute a wide variety of hair and makeup styles for any skin/hair type, texture, age, ethnicity, etc. We don't book you or the bridal party with "assistants", but with trusted industry professionals who all give that seamless, luxury client experience. Maintaining a high quality of work and professionalism from the bride's service to a bridesmaid's service is extremely important to us. When booking with any of our artists, we will still handle all questions, logistics, timelines, scheduling, and payments.
Our team’s availability is first come, first serve, and changes by the day. Email us through the contact form on our website and we will email you with a full proposal and pricing packages. If you are interested in booking from there, we will check on our artist availability and usually this takes about 2-3 business days. You will be able to see a small portfolio and a have a little more information about each artist available. A deposit with signed contract will lock in our artist's availability for your date.
Our entire team is fully on-site/mobile with our clients, from the wedding day to consultations appointments. Our services involve each artist curating their meticulously clean kit and including the products and tools needed for every skin tone, hair/skin type, age, and desired look. We want to provide an effortless client experience. Each travel fee quote is per appointment and per artist. We are fully on-site, and come straight to you to make it easy, and as stress-free as possible!
Normally, each service is scheduled in a 30-45 minute time slot. Our services for brides are scheduled with 45-60 minutes per service. Once we know the time you need to be ready, we will create a customized and detailed timeline that helps everyone stay on the same page! We suggest having a conversation with your wedding planner and/or photographer to determine the ready time. We like to be completely finished with hair and makeup before your photographer arrives. That way we will be able to pose with you for any “getting ready” shots you’d like, but you are already done, stress-free, and can jump right into the rest of your photos!
A non-refundable deposit and signed contract completes your booking and secures your artist. The remainder of your balance is due 2 weeks before your event - no worrying about paying on the day of! (Your date/booking is not confirmed or held available until deposit paid and signed contract is received and counter signed. We use a secure, online system for our invoicing and contracts to keep things as easy as can be for our clients!
We offer hair and makeup consultations for brides - also on-site appointments. (We use the term “consultation” and “trial” interchangeably.) This is a great chance before the wedding to meet your lead artist and implement any ideas you have. The consultation appointment includes full hair and makeup (with options of lashes + airbrush foundation included), and lasts around 2-3 hours so that you and your artist can nail your vision and create your dream look together! (Consultation balance is due 2 weeks before the appointment.)
We will help you decide how many artists you need, based upon how many services you have. Each artist on our team has different service minimums and maximums. Usually, each artist can do between 6-8 services on a wedding day.
Yes, there will be a travel fee charge for every booking. We feel our fees are fair and conservative considering the time and effort we put into traveling to each client. This compensates your artist for their time in traffic, the cost of gas, car wear/tear, and setting up at a location. Our team is local to the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. We will email you with an exact travel fee quote based on your location address!
Southern California is such a destination spot for couples from all across the U.S. and also out of the Country! We work with so many brides on their destination weddings and elopements and feel totally and 100% confident executing the look on the day-of, without a consultation/trial. Our consult appointments are not required and really it’s up to each client and their comfort level! We will try to be as flexible as possible to schedule consults the week of the wedding for our out-of-town brides who really want to make it happen but can’t travel in multiple times before their wedding date.
We do not offer discounts, out of respect for our clients who pay our rates.
Yes! And if your venue needs a COI or to be additionally insured, we can absolutely accommodate that.
Cleanliness is HUGE. We prioritize our sanitation practices and make sure that after every single job, our kits are clean and ready for the next clients. This is a commitment of time and a lot of energy after getting home from a long work day, but it’s 100% worth it to know that we are doing everything we can to provide the best for our clients.     Flawless and Effortless

    I cannot say enough good things about Emily Lynn & Co. They were absolute pros — calm, professional, and so incredibly talented. Emily listened to exactly what we wanted and somehow made it even better. The makeup was flawless — natural yet elevated, glowy but never overdone. It held up perfectly through the ceremony and happy tears! We felt like the best versions of ourselves, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting how amazing we looked.

    Perfection

    I can't recommend Julie and Sarah from Emily Lynn & Co. highly enough! They made me and the bridal party feel like our most gorgeous selves, while still feeling comfortable and never overdone. We all got so many compliments on our hair and makeup and look great in the photos too. Julie did an amazing job working with my natural curls to make my hair feel special but still like me. Plus, they helped us all with the morning jitters and set up in my parents' home so efficiently. I'm so glad I booked them and would do so again in a heartbeat!

    Flawless and fun

    I’ve always loved hair and makeup, so getting it professionally done was one of the things I was most excited about for my wedding. Choosing a HMU artist was overwhelming, especially with so many highly recommended options. Emily Lynn & Co. stood out to me because of their natural approach. Their website had an editorial yet relaxed and fun vibe that resonated with me. As a graphic designer, a beautifully designed brand and website played a big role in all my vendor decisions—but Emily Lynn & Co.'s work truly spoke for itself. I had the pleasure of working with Colette as my lead artist, and I can’t recommend her enough. She made the trial experience so comfortable by coming to my apartment, which was so nice. Colette really understood my vision—I wanted to look like myself, not too overdone, but with a touch of soft glam, and she nailed it perfectly. I also had Josie do hair for a few wedding party members, and everyone looked incredible. The atmosphere while getting ready was fun yet wonderfully calm. I highly recommend Emily Lynn & Co. to anyone looking for a top-notch HMU team!

    The absolute best!!

    I cannot recommend Josie enough for hair and makeup!! I wanted natural makeup, something that felt pretty but not too much. She created the perfect look! It was exactly what I wanted, and I have never felt more beautiful. Thank you so much Josie!!

    The perfect choice!

    I couldn't recommend Emily Lynn Co more. Colette and Josie did hair and makeup for my wedding day, including myself, my officiant, and my 6 bridesmaids. They were professional, punctual, and so much fun to have with us as we got ready for the day! I met Colette for a hair and makeup trial and she was super responsive to changes I wanted to make on the day of. I asked her to highlight me to the gods and she delivered! If I got to do the day all over, I'd absolutely choose Colette and Josie again.
