Our menu offers a combination of classic Tamale Boy favorites for which we’re known, as well as many creative inspirations from regions throughout Mexico. We invite you to be creative and pick from our broad list of dishes to design your own menu that is uniquely yours for your guests to enjoy. Full service bartending is available upon request.

Our catering proposals are presented with an all inclusive per person price. Our prices include food, disposables, set up, and delivery fee. Food is delivered hot and ready to serve in disposable pans. If you are hosting a sit down or formal event, we also offer full service catering and staffing.

    Serious Communication Issues, Excellent Food

    We had a challenging experience with Tamale Boy's wedding catering. The food and day-of service were excellent, and their pricing was very affordable, but the lack of communication was the biggest stressor of our entire wedding planning experience. It took me from September 18 through December 4, with regular follow-ups, to get the catering booked. This should have been a warning sign, but I was persistent because I had used their catering several times for work events and had always loved the food. Once we were booked, I heard nothing from them. About a month before the wedding, I started emailing and calling to try to get the details finalized. My coordinator also reached out, and eventually I was able to speak with Luci, the catering manager, by phone the week before our wedding. At that point, I learned about several rentals they needed us to arrange separately, including an additional table, tablecloth, and water carafes. These were things I would have happily taken care of earlier if I had known about them, but having to scramble to arrange them the week before the wedding was stressful. I also wasn't able to get contact information for the day-of staff, which made it difficult to feel confident that everything was coordinated. That said, the day of the wedding was a completely different story. They had plenty of staff, everyone was courteous and professional, and they were helpful with the venue flip. The buffet food was hot and delicious, and our guests were very happy. The only day-of issue was that the buffet was not set up double-sided as I had requested. Overall, I would only recommend booking them if you are a very low-maintenance, Type B couple who can tolerate minimal communication leading up to the wedding. I really want to support their business because the food is so good, the pricing is among the most affordable we found, and the day-of team did a great job. However, I strongly urge Tamale Boy to invest in additional catering management staff. The level of communication we experienced is not appropriate for a high-stakes event like a wedding, where couples need to be able to rely on their vendors and know that important details are being handled.

    Disappointing communication

    Echoing what's already been said, we hoped to use Tamale Boy for our wedding but unfortunately their catering communication is non-existent. They will not reply to emails or phone calls.

    Non responsive and flaky

    Three people involved in my wedding have tried reaching out via email and phone for the last 5 months and have had almost no responses from Tamale Boy. I was finally replied to and told they would reach out first thing and it's been days with nothing. I would caution against this company unless you have established communication with them! It's really surprising given all their good reviews and pretty disappointing.

    Amazing food, we loved it & our guests loved it.

    Working with Tamale Boy was exactly what we needed for our wedding day. The team kept communication straightforward and got everything done right on schedule, which gave us peace of mind leading up to the event. On the day itself, they set up cleanly and worked upstairs during our ceremony to organize everything for a smooth transition to the reception—they really paid attention to what we wanted. The food was incredible; we served green enchiladas with chicken and red enchiladas with birria, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how good it was. They also nailed the horchata and jamaica, which were honestly chef's kiss. If you're looking for a caterer who delivers professional food and service without the stress, Tamale Boy is the way to go.

    Great food, great service!

    We used Tamale Boy for our wedding caterer and they were fantastic! We emailed back and forth a ton before the big day and they were prompt and flexible when we had several changes to make. On our wedding day they showered up right on time and did a great job. They were in charge of flipping our space which they did a great job of. The food was SO good and all of our guests commented on how yummy everything was.
