Catering by Saltbox

Led by Chef and owner Ben Elliott, we are a Best of Boston-awarded team of professionals dedicated to helping our clients celebrate some of life’s most significant events with friends and family. We offer our clients a single point of contact throughout the entire planning process, learn what’s most important to you and provide guidance along the way. We work intimately with our clients to design a seasonal, farm-inspired menu that incorporates as many ingredients from our namesake property, Saltbox Farm. We serve the greater Boston area, the Berkshires, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, and Vermont.

Our farm-driven menus are personalized for every event host; we do not offer packages, and instead focus on customizing every menu around the event it's designed for. Our full-service team also offers, beverage service -including, wine pairings, signature drink, and craft beer curation - menu accommodations for food allergies and sensitivities, event coordination, professional staffing, rental and vendor management, and all set-up and breakdown.

    Best Venue, Best Food, Best Staff!

    We used Saltbox Farm as our venue and Catering for most delicious spread of food for our guests! Megan was so helpful keeping us on track of what decisions we needed to make and by when, and was able to answer all of our questions. She was also able to help coordinate some extra furniture rentals for us. Menu development was super easy as they had a sample menu to go off of that we were able to tweak from there based on our preferences and some guest dietary needs. Even years later we still have guests telling us how amazing the food was at our wedding!

    We used Catering by Saltbox for our September 2025 and could not have been happier. Working with Ben, Megan and the whole team was fun, thoughtful and professional and the result was a PERFECT experience and AMAZING food. We knew it would be :) but our guests raved. 1000% recommend. PS. They also have an amazing restaurant in Concord, Mass.

    Saltbox made a high-end house gathering a huge success! Guests raved about the food, the hostess was thrilled and Chef went above and beyond to pull through when a big assist was needed - on a night their team was hosting an event. Highly recommend and will surely use them again - thank you SB Team!!!

    WOW! Saltbox catered my podcast launch and it was amazing! They prepped and ran an incredible event for 135 of my friends and family and everyone loved the food, friendliness of the team, and overall vibe. I cannot recommend enough! ...bacon wrapped dates, salmon toasts, flatbreads, and so much more!
