John & Josey, We respect your right to leave a review, but we cannot allow several inaccurate statements in this review to stand without clarification for future couples considering Bar 2 U. The central issue appears to be a difference between what you expected and what was actually included in the signed agreement. Your contract states that Bar 2 U would provide and operate a mobile bar service, with adequate staffing and the equipment and supplies necessary for bar operations. Nowhere in the signed contract does it state that two bars would be simultaneously staffed and operating throughout cocktail hour, nor does it establish a separate two-bar cocktail-hour service requirement. The contract also specifically states that any modifications to the agreement must be agreed upon in writing. If additional or different services were expected, those expectations needed to be reflected in the agreement. Your review also omits a significant circumstance from the event: the venue did not have running water available. This was a venue condition outside Bar 2 U’s control and presented additional operational challenges for our staff. Despite that, our team continued providing service to your guests. Your statement that Bar 2 U “didn’t meet the full terms of our contract” is therefore not an accurate characterization of the situation. After the event, we discussed your concerns directly and explained why we did not believe a partial refund was warranted. The fact that you disagreed with our position does not mean the contracted service was not provided. We also want to be clear that our staff worked through a difficult event environment and continued doing their jobs professionally. We are proud of the effort they made that evening. As a hospitality company, we are always willing to acknowledge legitimate mistakes and learn from them. We are equally committed to correcting the record when a review presents contractual expectations as contractual obligations when they were not. We encourage every prospective client to read their agreement carefully and ask questions about exactly what is included before signing.
