    Editorial Photos and 5 Star Experience

    I truly cannot recommend our photographer, Edwin, highly enough. We hired him a few years ago to film and photograph our wedding weekend and we still are impressed with the quality, professionalism, and total experience. From our very first conversation, his warmth and professionalism immediately stood out. Edwin bring such a calming presence, which made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire process, from planning calls to the big day itself. His years of experience were evident in every detail. He anticipated moments before they happened, kept everything running smoothly, and seamlessly balanced being organized with being flexible. Communication was always clear, prompt, and thoughtful. Edwin was also incredibly reliable, which is such a gift when you’re planning a wedding. What really sets Edwin apart is his modern, editorial approach. The photos feel straight out of a magazine, artistic, elevated, and beautifully composed, while still capturing genuine and candid emotion. He is also very technology-savvy, making the entire process easy and streamlined, from contracts to galleries to sharing photos with family and friends.     Edwin Shaw Production exceeded my expectations!

    Edwin Shaw Productions made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. ‘Comfortable’ because I knew that he would not only get the job done (punctual, professional, great quality, etc.) but comfortable in the sense that I was working with a true artist. Prior to our wedding, He asked what we expected, offered suggestions and walked me through everything step-by-step. Edwin captured every beautiful moment! He is so talented, kind, and fun to work with. We had a wonderful experience and absolutely love all of the photos!

    Just book Edwin!

    First things first...when I was first referred to Edwin, I was a little skeptical! While he has a beautiful wedding portfolio, a lot of his work is in live stage work, including photography, production, and video. If your posed shots are just as important to you as your candids, this skill set translates incredibly well. He seemed to have a gift for capturing moments at the right time. No open-mouthed eating photos to cull through. My portraits were beautiful too, but I can look back on my photos and video and truly feel like I'm back in those moments. His production and organizational skills were evident as well. It can be hard to wrangle a lot of people, but he had a schedule and stuck to it. We didn't miss half of our reception because of photos. He was firm, but kind with people. He treated every single person with respect, and for some reason, he was able to get our families on the same page with little convincing, a skill I still haven't cultivated after 35 years lol. If you want your wedding day to run smoothly with the help of a true professional, he is your guy. He worked so well with all of the other vendors, and it was clear that they were working as a team to make our day amazing. I can't recommend him enough!

Definitely! While we’re based in Detroit, Michigan and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 50 miles outside the Detroit or Pittsburgh metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
Unfortunately, we cannot film outdoors in the rain or other inclement weather conditions like snow and hail. We will do our best with what is available and work with you to make sure you are happy with the results!
All footage we film is edited in-house by our incredible editing team.
No, we’ll send a private link to share your final wedding video with you. Only people with that link will be able to see your video.
We’re happy to offer a same-day edit for an additional fee. After your ceremony, one of your videographers will work with an editor on set to put together your same-day edit. We’ll make sure the final video is done in time for your reception.
