The Deneckes

Vocalist/Guitarist/Manager/Booking Agent

They could have met as toddlers in Western New York; instead, they fell in love as teenagers in Western Illinois. Since then, they’ve roamed and rambled to Florida, New Jersey, Indiana, and back to Western New York. In January 2025, The Deneckes released blue & gold, an album comprised of songs Hannah wrote while artist-in-residence at St. Gertrude’s Monastery in Cottonwood, Idaho. In April 2023, The Deneckes released their debut album, lady of the gardens, and in September 2023, they released an EP of old American folk tunes, pilgrim songs from the sacred harp.

We are professional musicians with experience in a variety of musical genres. We have toured all over North America and make our home in the Southern Tier of Western New York. Because of our many musical experiences, we will tailor our performance(s) for your event to make sure we fit exactly what you have in mind! We also have a jazz trio featuring guitarist Matías Homar, inquire specifically if you are interested in jazz! Porter-Denecke-Homar is our trio, and we play jazz standards perfect for a cocktail hour or wedding reception.

    Wonderful Performance & Thoughtful Personal Touch

    The Deneckes planned a special song for our wedding and thoughtfully accommodated the fact that over half of our guests spoke Spanish. It made the moment feel incredibly personal and inclusive for everyone there. The performance was absolutely beautiful, emotional, and so professionally done. We could truly feel the care and effort they put into making it special for us. It ended up being one of the most touching moments of the evening, and guests still talk about it to this day. We were beyond happy with everything, and it’s a memory we will cherish for years to come!

    Talented & professional ceremony musicians

    The Denecke’s were the perfect musicians for our wedding ceremony. They blended clear communication and professionalism with authenticity and talent to provide a wonderful and meaningful experience. It was a pleasure to work with them and I would happily do so again for event music needs.

    The Deneckes

    Hannah and Eli played the music for our wedding ceremony and played a huge role in our perfect day. They were so easy and fun to work with while we were collaborating on our plan for the ceremony. They played a mix of their own selections as well as gorgeous renditions of songs that were important to us and helped to add a sensitive and intimate feeling to our ceremony. Both of them are so talented and their sound would be a perfect fit for any wedding.

    Great band for our wedding!!

    We love the Deneckes!! Hannah and Eli are an amazingly talented and gifted couple. Both, were very flexible and willing to do whatever they could to be part of our celebration. Our guests told us they loved the easy listening and creative songs that the Deneckes played. The sounds from Eli’s trumpet and Hannah’s voice were some of the sweetest sounds of the evening. Both were very professional and amazing to work with. I will be reaching out to them for some of our other events as well.
