Hi! I'm Amy. I love music, celebrating, and LOVE. Rolling the three together into a memorable night is pretty much the best thing ever, and I've been enjoying doing just that for over 15 years now. Polished Entertainment is my baby. I dreamed of having my own business for years, and there are few things I'd call more fulfilling. I'm a total people-pleaser, so learning more about your vision and executing it comes naturally to me. We'll meet and I'll soak in your plans, offer suggestions for rounding out the details you haven't considered yet, and pull it together for a low-stress planning process.

The day of the celebration, you'll rarely see me sitting still - or sitting at all! - because there's always something to be done behind the scenes. I'm ready to engage your guests with good music and fun lighting, not over-the-top, cheesy antics or exhaustive microphone blabber. Doesn't sound like your typical wedding DJ? Good! Typical is boring. You don't want your wedding to look and feel just like someone else's, so your DJ shouldn't either. I'm here to help things run as smoothly as possible.     Our successful wedding say would not have been possible without Amy. From the first time we spoke we felt incredibly supported and heard by her. She was incredibly responsive, and conversations with her always left us feeling positive and excited. She took the playlists we created to give her a sense of our tastes and created an amazing playlist that had people enjoying the music from the start of the ceremony all the way to the last song of the reception! Hire her. It is a no brainer.

I'm dressed for the occasion and ready to work. You can typically find me in black pants, a blouse, and a nice pair of flats. I've been known to pull out a jumpsuit or dress on occasion too, weather-dependent. Regardless, I'm always event-appropriate.
I'm always downloading music and finding a new favorite song! If I don't have what you're looking for, I'll add it to my library, free of charge.
I love making guests happy, but not at the expense of your dance floor! I tell couples that I "consider" music requests. If it isn't on your "do not play" list and it fits the vibe of the evening, I'm happy to work it in. If not, I'll ask them if they can come up with something else they'd like to hear instead.

Yes.
It depends on the event and what is required. I'd say the average is around 2 hours before cocktail hour begins, or 2.5 hours before ceremony/reception. This gives me plenty of time for setup, soundcheck, potential troubleshooting, and communicating with your other vendors to make sure we've got the details handled. That said, I can set up in as little as 45 minutes if venue restrictions require.
Uplighting is included in the reception package. I also provide a fun photo booth service as an add-on.
Setup and breakdown is included in the cost of the package. Travel is also included, up to an hour outside of Madison, WI. A nominal travel fee is charged based on mileage outside of the included radius.
The quoted price for all packages is an all-inclusive number, so no additional taxes are added.
