Kind to Work With, But Execution Fell Short

Dan and DJ Dan were lovely to work with. Since we had some cultural music additions, we prepared them with complete playlists, start times, and even offered to cut the songs. There was an overconfidence and seeming overpreparedness before the wedding that was comforting. I even made full books with details on intro songs and names that we went over the day before the wedding. But, at the wedding, multiple mistakes were made that did not go unnoticed. Intro songs were mixed up, names during the intros were mixed up or eliminated altogether, some suggestions we discussed prior to the wedding went ignored. A song was mentioned as the groom's favorite erroneously. Both Dan and DJ Dan were kind and laid back, but, with our worries about the cultural differences, all our calls felt brushed off. They seem to operate under the "we do this all the time, we know what we are doing" motto and did not leave room to prepare for parts that they were unfamiliar with. We are sure if there were no cultural components, the wedding would have gnoe off without a hitch. It was these extra elements and the care for them that fell short.
