I'm Brian and I design atmospheres through curated music and light for my clients and their guests so that we may all engage in a shared energy. Weddings are better when all the senses are engaged. I do that through combining music and light to work with each other seamlessly. I say no to sh*tty DJ lighting of the past. Your wedding shouldn't look like your middle school dance. Musically I want to present you and your guests with a soundtrack that speaks to you shared history and further connects you in the this significant moment in your life.

I am in this business because I love music, production and light, and finding creative ways to use them to elicit the best response from the guests. I put intense thought into how to pull these elements together for each and every wedding, and I never want to do the same thing twice. How can we use light to highlight or distract from the space? Are we looking for high energy or a laid back vibe? How do we do that with the playlist? How do we do it with the light? I ask myself dozens of questions as I work through this part of the process.

    Absolutely the best

    Brian was hands down the best vendor we had at our wedding. What made him so different was how much he cared about understanding us before he ever started talking about playlists or timelines. We met with him several times, and he would ask things like what our first concerts were, what songs remind us of each other, what we grew up listening to, and what music is tied to different memories in our lives. At one point I told him that our meetings felt less like wedding planning and more like music therapy sessions. He told me he LOVED that description, and it's honestly the best way I can explain the experience. He wasn't just figuring out what songs we liked. He was figuring out who we were through music. By the time the wedding came around, the music felt completely customized to us. Nothing felt like a generic wedding playlist. We're into some pretty specific genres, especially 2000s emo and pop punk and 90s R&B, and Brian knew that music inside and out. He was able to work all of it into the night in a way that still kept everyone dancing and made the whole reception feel like us. You spend so much time planning a wedding and wondering whether all the little decisions are actually going to come together. With Brian, we never had to worry. He understood exactly what we wanted, probably better than we knew how to explain it ourselves. If we had to choose our wedding vendors all over again, Brian would be the first person we'd book.

    Best DJ and lighting professional ever!!! Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with. We received so many compliments on the music and vibes of our wedding. Brian creates a true experience, with multiple meetings leading up to the big day so you feel like you have a real say and what’s going on, without having to worry about it on your wedding day. Cannot recommend him enough!

    Above and beyond

    Brian was an incredible creative partner when planning our wedding. From the first meeting getting to know us, to our final details check-in—his knowledge, expertise, and professional approach helped us hone in on the exact music vibe we were looking for. He made us feel at ease. Brian’s work made our day come to life and exceeded our expectations tenfold. People were dancing in the buffet line long before the dance floor opened. Months later, we’re still getting compliments on “that DJ” from our guests!

    DJ Brian Smith is Incredible

    Brian is truly exceptional, and we cannot overstate how invaluable he was in making our wedding a success! Leading up to the event, he was extremely organized and made the planning process really easy. He offered so much of his time to meet as often as we wanted, put a ton of effort into understanding our vision, and was super helpful in offering advice when we needed. The day of, he was such an important partner in keeping the entire running smoothly, and made us feel so secure and well taken care of. And he throws an absolutely electric party! He did an incredible job of learning our styles, and blending together an awesome mix of our favorite music with great crowd pleasers he knew we’d like. Our dance floor was just wild for over four hours, and our guests kept raving about how great he was! Working with Brian was one of the absolute best decisions we made! He was a delight to work with, an incredible DJ to party with, and our wedding would not have been the same without him!

Yes we carry a 2 million dollar general liability policy.
We require at minimum 90 minutes for setup but we often arrive 3 hours prior, or earlier if allowed/setup requires it.
Yes we do take requests. In you planning process you will have the opportunity to help define the musical style for your wedding. As for guest requests, we do take them but we screen them to ensure that they are appropriate and fit the vibe of th evening.
Yes we are happy to provide music for ceremony and reception or provide a sound system for live musicians.
We take a modern approach to DJ'ing weddings. We do not play games or lead line dances. We prefer to focus on the music and creative mixing of the music to keep the night flowing. Our style is very nightlife influenced but made appropriate for weddings and the music you and your guests would like to hear.
Yes, we provide uplighitng and a social photo booth. We always include very tasteful dance floor lighting (don't worry it won't look like a cheesy middle school dance), because we believe it is essential to creating the best environment for the party
