Officially established in November of 2017, BHD Entertainment Group is a DJ and Sound Services business operating out of Northern Charlotte, NC and has made lasting connections within the city and surrounding communities. BHD Entertainment Group is comprised of a single owner and DJ, Brandon Hyde aka DJ BhD and his two stage hands/event assistants. Specializing in Weddings and Private Events, DJ BhD has performed for thousands of individuals over the last 4 years. BHD Entertainment Group has provided DJ and Sound Services at a myriad of events and venues including nightclubs, corporate events, fashion shows, private parties and weddings.

Most DJ’s understand the importance of knowing that all crowds are different and want to hear various styles of music. In regards to that fact, BhD has mastered this ability through his experience and passion towards a diversity of music genres. These genres include (but are not limited to): Hip Hop, Country, R&B, Classics from the 60’s and 70’s, Pop, Electronic Dance Music (EDM), Jazz, Trap EDM, House, Soca, Reggae, Salsa, Bachata, Meringue, Afrobeat and more.     On the dance floor the whole night!

    BHD was awesome! He kept my family and I on the dance floor the whole night. He read the audience very well. BHD was very professional and reasonable pricing. I promise he doesn't disappoint.

Answering your questions as you plan, curating a setlist, ensuring booking & payment information is seamlessly communicated, providing professional equipment & lastly, providing the musical experience that you envision for your wedding
My style of DJing consists of blending & mixing songs for smooth transitions. I rarely play songs in their entirety in order to keep things interesting. As far as hosting, I like to keep it very lively yet classy. In other words, I’m not one to scream, yell and talk over every song. Simply put, I let the music do the talking. In my opinion the Bride and Groom are the stars of the show, not the DJ.
In short, yes, I take requests. However, all requests are not "good" requests. Typically, I use my judgement as to when (or if) I play a requested song. I get it, your aunt and uncle absolutely LOVE Motley Crue but if the song is going to kill the vibe we have going, I will not play it. A bad request can ruin an experience, so I take requests on a case by case basis.
How about both. For ceremonies, I can provide a 45 minute playlist prior to the ceremony starting as well as the requested songs for the wedding party to walk down the aisle to. After the ceremony, I also can provide music for your cocktail hour.
Yes. We have business insurance. If your venue requires confirmation, we can send all needed documentation.
There is no breakdown fee. Travel fee is 40 cents per mile round trip for Venues outside of the Charlotte Metro area or travel that requires 60 miles or more round trip from our Headquarters in Northeast Charlotte.
Yes. Uplighting and Dance Floor Lighting options are available. I also can provide visual equipment (80 inch projector screen with HD projector). For pricing and options request our pricing PDF.
Set up usually takes anywhere between 2 and 3 hours depending on the package and services selected. However, we can adjust set up time if the venue requires vendors to arrive at staggered times to prevent a "traffic jam" at the unloading area.
