“Gemma was great! From the very beginning, she was so easy to work with. She was very responsive and really listened to what we wanted. She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

Brandon took on the challenge not only with enthusiasm, but also an incredible amount of flexibility, clear direction, and belief. Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

Party Girl Entertainment is run and operated by Amy Reid; an active Baltimore DJ, musician and events curator performing since 2010. Driven by music, a sincere joy of the dance floor and the power it has to bring people together, she formed PGE in 2019 with this goal in mind. She is accommodating and welcomes venues both intimate and expansive. “Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting.
