Hi! I’m Jess. I approach wedding photography with a photo journalistic eye, seeking out the authentic experiences of your day rather than fabricated moments. I shoot mostly film, medium format and 35mm, as well as a little bit of digital, to create timeless imagery that ages gracefully. Alongside weddings, I also run a tintype photography business. I offer the option to add on custom tintype portraits for weddings within a 6 hour driving radius of Portland. I am trained as a fine art photographer, studying at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and SFAI. I now live in the small town of Washougal, WA on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge.

I am a hopeless romantic who grew up on early 2000s romcoms and now I get to combine my two loves of romance & imagery by capturing weddings. I have a fine arts degree in Photo + Film Media and have a decade of experience. I started photography as a second shooter with another local photographer and I fell in love with it. I love every aspect of my job, from meeting new people to editing photos. There truly is nothing better than getting a message from my clients about how happy they are with their images and how much it means to them. I have traveled to Colorado, California, New York, Florida, Alabama-- All over for weddings! I LOVE to travel for my work. Hey there, my name is Tia! I'm 25 years old and living in Baltimore, and I've been documenting love stories for the last 7 years! I truly believe I have the best job in the world. In addition to photog, my other loves include museums, hiking, cooking, anything involving my family and friends, my cat Goose, and watching reality dating shows.

I have been photographing couples for nearly 10 years and have loved every minute of it. I have enjoyed following them through engagement, wedding, maternity and now family sessions. I have even become life long friends with some of them. I am a mother of 3 and have always loved art, and once I picked up my camera and found a way to tell others love stories, I knew I found what I was supposed to do.

After a few years navigating through unfortunate happenstance, film/Broadcasting/Marketing jobs, three beautiful children who were my best practice subjects and a husband willing and ready to watch me shine again. I had enough support from family and friends to grow and flourish the talent I started in 2013. It took 10 years to achieve better quality art, gain new mentors, create relationships with others in the event buisness, and gain a new confidence in myself.
