I picked this location because of how beautiful the landscape is. So many different spots on the property to get married on, all beautiful. Different locations cost different price. Overall, relatively cheap compared to other venues. When talking to them, I first started with one wedding coordinator. She left and was informed about the new coordinator. She introduced herself and thought she was awesome. She was very tentative to all the details and was very helpful. I wasn’t informed that she had left and a new coordinator had taken her spot. I didn’t know there was a new coordinator until the day before the wedding. She didn’t take charge of anything. She took a back seat to everything. Told her I had a specific song I wanted to play for walking down the aisle. There wasn’t any sort practice with the song at the rehearsal. She couldn’t figure out how to connect my phone to the sound system. She couldn’t figure out how to navigate the song that I had already pulled up on my phone.

I highly recommend William's Orchard as your venue if you're considering it. Throughout the wedding planning process the team was communicative and helpful. They were accommodating down to the last day before the wedding, helping our dream come to life. The team had great ideas too when it came to catering and small details that ultimately improved our guest experience. The venue itself is gorgeous and our guests had a blast. We're still getting compliments on the day. A nice touch was being able to have dinner in the orchard, a last minute decision we made that was recommended by the team and ultimately helped the day flow better. I can't recommend William's Orchard enough!

We were so happy to have booked Apple Blossom Resort for our wedding. It was even more than we could have hoped for. The communication with the venue was exceptional and prompt throughout the entire planning process. Fair Oaks Farms was a nice venue for our wedding, though their communication style was a bit minimal on the actual wedding day. The quality of their work and value was very nice - the servers were attentive and helpful throughout the evening. However, when our official reception time was up at 11pm, the staff turned on all the lights and rushed us to gather our belongings and vacate the reception hall immediately. This made the end of our special night feel a bit abrupt and hurried. Overall, Fair Oaks Farms provided a pleasant setting for our wedding, but could improve the communication and transition at the end of the night.

Solasta was a surprise to me in that it simply wasn’t on my radar, but I’m glad I stopped by when I saw it just off the road. The mulled wine I tried tasted great and wasn’t cloyingly sweet. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and the interior was warm and inviting. The wine menu was surprisingly large, and the mulled wine actually used multiple wines to get the profile they were after. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and like wine.

She also worked with the Navarre team to dial-in a few special menu items to make the experience even more unique. I cannot say enough good things!

I cannot recommend Thornton Distilling Company enough. Kim, the event coordinator, is incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. The space is unique and great for a small to mid-size wedding. Our pictures were fantastic and that's largely because the venue itself is such a cool space. We got a lot of compliments on the food and the chef is also a pleasure to work with. I would consider using them again in a heartbeat for future events.

Fernwood really is a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and their rates very affordable! They were very responsive to my many questions, and very helpful on the day of our wedding. They even let us use an extra classroom for the groomsmen to get ready in. They were also really flexible. You can’t really go wrong here, and the garden itself can be your decor! We also left one item behind by accident which we were able to pick up a few days later. Lots of “areas” to choose from for your day, too. Only complaint was the poison Ivy growing along some of the pathways, which were already fairly narrow. We just used alternate paths and it was no big deal!

The venue is truly amazing. The terrance for our ceremony looked over the Michigan Lake and the City of Chicago Skyline. The indoor area to eat and dance shows a great classy and modern decor. The venue definitely speaks for itself, and does not require much decorations to reflect a beautiful wedding. One downside we experienced was communication. My wife and I were shocked on some of the responses. This was our first time getting married, and some of the communications back to us made it seem like we should know everything about the wedding industry. We also had to repeat multiple emails and communications even though this information was given to another college at the venue.

We are still dreaming of how amazing and perfect our wedding day was at Solarium. The team, with along with 1928 Planning Co., handled everything so well, communicated so clearly, I now want to have a wedding every weekend. Getting to wake up and get ready for the day in the bridal suite was an absolute dream! The ambiance and vibes create a chill and laid back atmosphere, but we still had the classiness of a formal wedding, exactly what we wanted. It truly was the best party of our lives! Side note, but a very important one, their on site Airbnb made getting ready yet staying separate a breeze. No travel for the bridal party of the photographer(s)!

The Odyssey Venue was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, responsive, detailed, and incredibly helpful. They had a detailed plan A and plan B in place to account for potential weather issues, and even asked us to bring in extra decor items a couple days early so they could have everything ready and waiting for our wedding coordinators. Every single staff member, especially Isabella and Kelly, were phenomenal to work with. We actually found this venue just 40 days before our wedding, as our previous venue could not accommodate our increased guest count. We were looking for an urban space that embodied a feeling of east meets west and the Zhou B Art Center was the perfect space for us. We used Spirit and Moongate in the ground floor and were very happy that the space allowed guests to have some quiet space away from the dance floor when they wanted. Everything about our wedding at Hotel Allegro was perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding they've ever been to. The Walnut Ballroom was transformed into such a stunning space for our ceremony and reception. With the L running in the background, it felt quintessential Chicago. We also loved the cocktail hour in the Savoy Room. Working with the team at Hotel Allegro was a dream, too. They were extremely communicative and quick to respond. They were very accommodating as well. It really made the whole wedding planning process go smoothly. I wish I could get married there every year! I loved it so much!

The Builders BLDG was our perfect wedding venue! Chicago is home to both me and my husband and we knew we wanted our wedding day reflect a classic Chicago wedding, and the builders BLDG was just that. The venue space is ornate and the tall atrium and grand staircase provide the perfect wow factor. It’s in the heart of the city located right off the river, and is so close to many hotel options and photo locations. The food was definitely a highlight. We received so many compliments on our food and months later we still hear compliments, particularly the filet mignon. The team was easy to work with and answered all my questions timely and were supportive during the entire process. Me and husband loved our wedding day and have to thank the Builders BLDG for being such a crucial part in our day.

Our wedding at the Allerton Hotel far and away surpassed our expectations. When my fiancé and I first started touring wedding venues, we had a little bit of sticker shock (we were planning and paying for it all on our own). We knew when looking at venues that we wanted somewhere that was budget conscious, warm and welcoming, and spoke for itself. Tying in the budget again, we wanted a venue that didn’t need to be glitzed or glammed up to look beautiful; we were looking for Minimalistic but Grand. The Allerton checked all of these boxes for us. Upon setting up a tour, we had the honor of meeting the amazing team behind the scenes of throwing the stunning weddings I had seen on Instagram. Kristin Johansson, Michael Wallace, and Felipe Herrera were the faces that immediately made us feel at home, feel understood, and prioritized. These three worked with us endlessly making sure we were organized, informed, and financially in a good place. After Kristin left the Allerton, we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Amaralys Addarich. We were able to get so excited for the big day working with her for our tasting and putting together other organizational details. Even during times of transition and change at the hotel, we never once felt neglected or alone. Communication was always a priority and we are forever grateful for that. For the last 4 months of our wedding planning process, we had the utmost honor to work with and adore Christina Farias and Mina Chu. These two worked seamlessly behind the scenes making sure everything was on track for us and when there was a blunder with my seating chart on the day of, they were there to handle it with grace and ease to the point that I had no idea anything even happened. The Allerton was everything that we could have hoped for and more - not only with how stunning the venue is or how delicious the food was, but we got to get close to a team we now consider to be like family. Christina, Felipe, Michael, and Mina are the absolute rockstar dream team for weddings and making wedding planning as easy as possible. They were there for all of the millions of questions that I posed, there for the best suggestions, and there with the coolest and calmest demeanor on the day of that helped us feel at ease. Looking back on our wedding day, we are just overall blessed that we could host our wedding at the Allerton Tip Top Tap Ballroom and cannot wait to show our kids the place where we had one of the best days of our lives. With this team, you will not only have the best wedding possible, but you will gain friends, peace of mind, and a new place that feels like home. We love you, Allerton Team!!

Amazing Space@625 was the perfect venue for our traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony. The staff was excellent and very responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was truly unique and spacious, with plenty of room for our guests to mingle and celebrate. The free parking was a huge plus for downtown Chicago, and I especially loved the private bridal suite to get ready in. Osteria Via Stato is one of my favorite restaurants and it was a dream to have our wedding there! Natalie and her staff are easy to work with, they have great communication, knowledge, and experience. We loved the execution of our wedding by them, the ceremony was perfect for us, it was dreamy in their gorgeous dining room, but you would never guess it was a dining room with the way they set it up for the wedding. Our private room was perfect for our party of 55. We used farmhouse style tables and it was perfect for us as we didn’t want a dance floor. The servers there cannot be beat, they are all extremely experienced, friendly and happy to be there. They went above and beyond to ensure that me and my wife always had the first choice of everything and always had a drink in hand. I’ve been to many weddings where the food is fine or not desirable, but the food here was incredible! Going into this I knew it would be good but I didn’t know how delicious all the hors d’oeuvres would be. We couldn’t just pick a few we liked them all! And the entrees were delicious, every guest felt full and well fed!! We got comments from all of our guests about how great the food, venue and service were! Everyone was pleased and you don’t often find that from wedding venues. We loved having our wedding here and love that we can return whenever we please to celebrate special occasions!
