“The Redondo Beach Historic Library is an excellent choice for a wedding or event venue. The space is large and open, providing great value for the cost, and the location literally right by the water was stunning, especially at sunset. I loved the views and the food when I attended the first event Made by Meg Catering hosted there in February 2025 before renovations, it was a candidate forum for the city of Redondo Beach, and I cannot wait to return for many more events after they finish construction in the near future!”

“I loved working with Robin at the Sonesta Hotel. She was an excellent event manager who cared for all our needs and was very accommodating. I had one problem that had nothing to do with Robin or the Sonesta: Someone on the wedding coordinator's staff stole my wallet during the event. We hired Koral, the wedding coordinator, which was our responsibility. Overall, it was a beautiful venue with excellent hotel staff. I would recommend the Sonesta 100%.”

“** you cannot edit your vendor Zola review and this is an edit to give our initial review 5 FIVE STARS** When we were looking for where to host our wedding reception an intimate unique setting that would be a great time with full open bar and great food was what we were looking for about 200. Staff was excellent day of. Food was wonderful guests said. Venue was beautiful for photos and weather behaved in January so we got to watch the sunset. Everything was amazing w Portofino. Price was excellent for what we got and in SoCal on the water venue “boutique hotel.” My only critique is doing room blocks and anything to do with their computer system accounting takes a second and is a little out dated takes two days or so- but I like to get things done or get emails asap so that’s just me. Other than that wonderful place will be going back to stay at hotel! Amazing reception! Exactly what we were looking for! Rain is also exceptionally friendly, patient and communicative so ask for him !”

“BEAUTIFUL venue that is hidden away - the experience starts from the drive TO the church as you turn into a breathtaking wide ocean view. The church is so beautiful we only needed two pillars and 2 arrangements for decorations. The only downside to decorations is there is a lot of limitations (they dont allow anything on the aisle, not even a white aisle runner) BUT the church is so gorgeous on it's own. Setta the wedding coordinator is very professional and kind and really helps day of to coordinate the timing of everything. She has a very calm demeanor which is helpful during a hectic day. Pastor Scott officiated and he was very kind and accomodating. The majority of our guests were born and raised in southern california and remarked how they never heard or been to this church and they were amazed at how beautiful it was. Many commented how they felt they were in europe! It also was just the PERFECT summer day in mid-June- warm but a slight breeze with perfect blue skies. We had parasols for the girls and they came in handy to provide some shade while taking pictures! The reception offering is a little expensive and they only provide the space - no tables/charis and only beer/wine allowed and there is a curfew - either 9 or 10pm. This would have been a perfect place to do a reception as well but with all the resctrictions and planning required to do it there we opted out of it but I really wish we could have! Their package includes day of coordinator, you must use their officiant, an amazing organist, a bridal and groomsmen suite, a meeting with the officiant, and a rehearsal run through.”
