Convict Lake Resort is a best in class wedding experience. When you are at Convict Lake it's like the world stops, the resort is removed and inclusive. Convict Lake is intimate with stunning mountain views and the most epic lake. There are tons of recreation opportunities for you and your guests on site and there is FUN to be had in the hills. The food is wonderful (the Mahi is my fav). All this and in the end it's the service that sets Convict Lake above and beyond. They are experienced professionals and they are an inspiration in the local wedding community. They run the most consistent timelines I've ever experienced. You won't lose 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there because of poor time management. They run events smooth, seemingly effortless (that's what pros do they work hard to make it seem effortless) , their events are fun and there is always a touch of elegance. I adore my working relationship with Convict Lake. I adore the couples and clients I've been able to work with at this most amazing venue. Book Convict Lake, book a few cabins and stay on site. Convict Lake inspires love and joy and the magic of the mountains.

Kayla Plouffe Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,198
  • Serves Topaz, CA

Hey, I’m Kayla! If you would like to get in touch with me, please fill out my contact form on my website! I am an adventure elopement and intimate wedding photographer currently based in Mammoth Lakes, California. I grew up surrounded by the Sequoia National Forest in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains of California, which sparked a deep love of nature from a young age. That, combined with the forever soft spot I have in my heart for the unique and nontraditional, is how I came to shoot stress-free and adventure filled weddings across the United States and beyond.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kayla. Our experience with her as both our engagement and wedding photographer was absolute perfection from start to finish. Even her website and intake process set the tone — thoughtful, clear, and organized. Her phenomenal talent for capturing authentic moments is matched only by her professionalism, preparation, communication, sense of adventure, and genuine warmth. We first discovered Kayla when my fiancé tried to book her last minute for the proposal. She was already booked (thanks to his last-minute planning!), but he loved her style so much that he shared her work with me afterward. We reached out, filled out her inquiry form, had a “get to know you” call, and immediately knew she was the one. She selected the most stunning locations for our adventure engagement shoot — all while accommodating my fiancé’s recent injury and planning thoughtful backup options in case of bad weather. This was our first time ever taking professional photos, and Kayla made us feel completely at ease. She created this magical little love bubble for us, made us laugh, and turned the whole experience into an absolute blast — which meant genuine, beautiful, joyful photos. She even went above and beyond to meet our high-energy, reactive dog ahead of time so he could comfortably be part of the shoot. After our engagement session, there was no question who we wanted to capture our big Southern California NYE wedding — and the “just married” adventure shoot we planned on the ski mountain afterward. It had to be Kayla. For our 150 person wedding, Kayla and Pat made both of us feel relaxed and somehow like Vogue models at the same time. They put all of our family and friends at ease in front of the camera and managed group photos with such confidence, grace, and efficiency — even in the pouring rain! Kayla kept us on time, kept the energy high, and made it all so fun. They also celebrated with us on the dance floor, blending right in with our guests while still capturing every moment we hoped for (and plenty of artistic, unexpected shots we didn’t even know we needed). A few days later, Kayla met us on the ski slopes — on a windy white-out day — and still managed to deliver the most amazing “just married” photos, adapting to the weather, group dynamics, and our skiing abilities with ease. Truly, you’d be silly not to book Kayla. She is a rare combination of talent, heart, and positive energy, and we are endlessly grateful she was the one to document our story.

Desert Paintbrush Photography

I help couples create and document unforgettable wedding experiences in some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the West. Desert Paintbrush Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was efficient, caring, and invested from start to finish. The quality of their work was simply beautiful, capturing the natural moments in a personalized way. Jaymie and Jr made us feel so comfortable and we had a blast with them at our wedding - they were authentic, fun, and engaging throughout the entire process. I’m Jacky Surber, owner and farmer-florist. I’m a homesteader at heart and I find immense joy in trying to live and work in harmony with nature. At Alpenglow Gardens we are passionate about providing locally grown flowers that are both gorgeous and sustainable, from seed to bouquet. We are committed to non-toxic farming and environmentally-friendly design practices that generate less waste and have a lighter carbon footprint. Our home and farm is taking root on land that has been home to the Paiute and Shoshone people since time immemorial. Payahuunadü means "land of the flowing water" and we are doing our best to respect the land.

Alpenglow Gardens was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the very beginning, Jacky was incredibly proactive in communicating with us and co-creating the perfect floral designs for our special day. Her stunning, unique flowers were locally grown with so much love and care - you could truly feel the artistry in every bouquet and arrangement. Alpenglow not only created the most beautiful bouquet and boutonnières for our elopement, but also did it all over again for our wedding with gorgeous ceremony flowers, table decor, and another stunning bouquet and boutonnières for the whole family. Jacky even decorated our cake with her signature edible flowers, her flowers were hands down my favorite detail of the entire wedding! I cannot recommend Alpenglow Gardens highly enough - Jacky's talent, passion, and commitment to her craft is unmatched.

We used Eivan's for both engagement photos and our wedding and couldn't be happier. They are wonderful about asking for your input and making sure you are truly happy with what you are getting. The photographers and videographers are the perfect mixture of professional and casual/friendly so that you are comfortable. We loved Rachael H for engagement photos, and Heather G (photo) and Dmytro L (video) for our wedding. They also actually care about you and the event itself, starting with asking you about your story. We got both a photographer, videographer, and engagement photos for a great bundle price, which was so helpful. Customer service is also fantastic about answering questions thoroughly and quickly. I ordered the silk magnolia bouquet (Shelbie Bridal Bouquet - Hand tied) and opted for the scent to be added. They arrived and already looked perfect with very minimal fluffing/adjustment. I was nervous the scent would be strong or too artificial but it was light and natural. They photographed beautifully and let me have a taste of home with the magnolias all the way across the country. Gorgeous.

Flower and oak were absolutely amazing. They showed up extremely early for our event and we had the highest premium package ordered for the day. We had a couple specific shoot ideas for THE GROOMSMEN and the minute I walked in the front door. I was greeted by both videographers With all kinds of cool camera gear and they told us exactly what to do and there was no time wasted. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The BEST most nerve wracking decision we made for our big day!!! I was so nervous to go this route but trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did. FM was incredible at walking me through the process and the full service package is worth WAY more than what you pay for it. I felt incredibly prepared for flower arrival from all the phone calls, videos, and paperwork they sent including detailed recipes and schedule for the week. We had some hiccups with Hurricanes and delayed shipping. They called me to initially tell me they would be a day early. Then when they didn’t arrive called again and explained they’d been held up in customs(obviously no ones fault). They then sent out an entire extra box of blooms to be sure we got everything we needed. Flowers were beautiful!!! Spending time with my sisters and family putting them together was truly the most fun wedding prep. My guests and coordinator truly couldn’t believe we had done all our own flowers, and the best part??! We saved ourselves literally thousands!! We would recommend FM to anyone for any occasion anytime.

He was accommodating to last minute changes to make the most of the session and even went above and beyond to make it happen. Upon first impression, he was upbeat and had a vision. We were outside in sub 30 degree weather with fading evening light as well as low light inside a building and he was up for the challenge. We ended up with beautiful images in less than ideal conditions and that is what makes a great photographer. Sean has a sense of humor and an eye for that perfect photograph. He was fun to work with and his heart for people and creativity shows through. Thank you Sean for capturing this time in our lives.

What we appreciated most was how she structured the day in a way that allowed everything to flow smoothly without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming for both the couple and us as the photo and video team. I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!

My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!
