​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. Since 2017, Barn Star Events has been holding weddings and events in the great smokey moutains of Waynesville NC. The exposed wood, plentiful natural backdrops and the serenity of a simplier way of life surrounding the venue gives it a laid back, natural vibe you wont find anywhere else. The historic 1940s angus cattle and tabacco barn still in the orginal family was restored with updated ammedinities including handicapped restrooms, bridal suite, drooms den, prep kitchen, and sound system. The Villa is a spacious estate home that can be used to celebrate your big day. Its spacious lawn and gardens can host events for groups up to 75 people. Rental of the Villa for an event includes the use of its outdoor spaces, plus numerous photo locations on the 85-acre property. We can also include lodging in the five-bedroom Villa for up to 12 people, ceremony and reception furnishings, and day-of services. (We are there to support you through every step of your day!) We also have additional lodgings on the property in our treehouse cabins that can be rented as lodging. We love the opportunity to host family groups who use the whole property.
