About this venue

The Parker Mill wedding venue is a newly-renovated historic sawmill built in the 1930's. This venue has been designed and renovated to specifically cater to essential wedding needs. While it is conveniently located just one mile off of highway 74, the structure is comfortably nestled in a private community in the heart of Western NC Mountains, boasting awe-inspiring views and serene surroundings.

    Beautiful wedding

    From the moment we started planning, The Parker Mill team made us feel heard and supported. They were flexible with our ideas and answered every question we had without hesitation, which made the whole process stress-free. The venue itself is stunning—those rustic details and breathtaking views created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the space was, and we felt the same way walking through it on our wedding day. The staff was genuinely kind and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and taken care of. We'd absolutely recommend The Parker Mill to any couple looking for a venue that combines charm with real hospitality.

    Beautiful

    The team at The Parker Mill was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were punctual in all of their communications, outstanding in their professionalism and understanding of our needs as a couple. The view and overall venue was truly beautiful - our guests were in awe of the stunning natural setting. When we needed to make a last-minute change, the venue owner provided seamless guidance to ensure everything went off without a hitch. We would highly recommend The Parker Mill to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding experience.

    The Parker Mill is Perfect!!

    The Parker Mill is the absolute perfect venue! The views are spectacular and the services offered made our day so much easier to plan. At every step in our planning process Alexis and Brock were so kind and accommodating with addressing any concerns or questions we had. Everything about our day was beautiful, everything ran smoothly and the spaces the Parker Mill provided were perfect for our needs. If you are considering the Parker mill at all go on a tour! The moment we stepped foot on property we knew this wedding venue would be perfect, and we hope you do too! We cannot recommend the Parker Mill more!

    The PERFECT Day!

    We are SO lucky we found this venue for our wedding! It's been a long time planning - but Alexis was super communicative and responsive for every question in our 20 months of planning. She made all the decisions a breeze and was so detail oriented during our walk through to ensure our vision was received. Our guests were amazed by the venue's beauty and all night we received compliments and "HOW did you find this place?! it's BREATHTAKING"! We just responded with "we know ;)" I will also have to say - having the getting ready suites on site made the whole day even that much more of a breeze. We provided our own food & drink but the Bride's Suite Bathtub is something out of a luxury castle's home. AMAZING photo opportunities! The Groom's suite with pool table, TV, video games & darts was perfect for my partner and his group. Even though there was a wedding there the night before ours - Alexis had everything under control in terms of a rehearsal the morning of our wedding. We all arrived about an hour ahead of official venue access, ran through our rehearsal, and put cars in place to unload when we got to our access time. Her team was top notch - and had all our decor items set up perfectly. I also LOVED that we didn't have to tear down or clean up anything other than what we brought in. I can not put into words how much I recommend this venue for your perfect mountaintop wedding or event. It vastly exceeded our expectations and I hope they keep expanding their venture here in Whittier, NC!!

Yes. Couples are required to obtain a Limited Special Occasions Permit from the NC ABC for $50. A licensed and insured bartender is required to serve all guests. Upon bar service conclusion, any leftover alcohol must be packed up and taken off-site. Self-service for the wedding party is permitted only in the suites prior to guest arrival.
Yes, on-site parking is available and a parking assistant is provided.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have a designated handicap parking area as well as hearing-impaired fire alarm lights.
- 14 hours of venue access on event day - 1 hour pavilion and restroom access for rehearsal - Tables and chairs for up to 150 guests (more available to rent) - Mountain-view covered pavilion with permanent seating for ceremony (rain or shine!) - Venue staff for venue decor setup/clean-up, parking assistance, restocking supplies, trash change, bussing tables, assisting with event transition, etc. - Mountain-top access with shuttle service for couple's photos - Bountiful on-site photo opportunities - Wi-Fi - On-site parking - Trash haul - 30-day walkthrough appointment - Waived site fee for a 60-minute photo session (engagement, bridal, etc.)
Your reservation includes fourteen hours from start to finish, including the time it takes for set up and clean up by our staff, vendors, and couples. Additional time may be rented.
All payments made are non-refundable. To cancel, a formal cancellation request letter must be sent and signed by all parties of the original contract. At that time any remaining balance is due in order to open the date for rebooking. Refund may be made upon successful rebooking of original date(s) less a $500 cancellation fee. If the rebooking value is less than the original booking value, the difference will be reflected in the refund amount. Unsuccessful rebooking results in forfeit of all monies paid.
We are located within one hour of Asheville Regional Airport via 3 major highways (I-26, I-40, and rte 74). Shuttles are available based out of Asheville as Uber/Lyft is very limited in western NC.
While our venue is fully insured, we do require our couples to obtain a day-of policy that covers their specific event more fully. This is required through a specific vendor provided by the venue to ensure all verbiage and coverage is accurate.
Yes, we do welcome venue-approved pets for the ceremony and cocktail hour for photo purposes. Pets are to be leashed and cleaned up after during their stay and must be removed from the property prior to dinner services. Pets are permitted outside only.
At this time, we do not offer flatware rentals, cup rentals, or linens. Our farmhouse tables and chiavari chairs with seat cushions were specifically chosen so that linens would not be necessary!
