We are Applehead Photography and Design, and our combination of directing and documenting provides our clients with photos of raw emotions and interactions, and allows us to truly get to know each and every person we photograph. It's pretty awkward to have your photo taken by a couple of strangers, but our hope is that by the end of the day, you feel like you had your photos taken by a pair of old friends. To us, it's not just about the end product you receive – it's about the adventure and the memories we created in order to do so.

My love for photography is my passion. I take it with me everywhere I go, I capture pictures of my daily life and I print those pictures once a month, I know it will be worth it when I'm old and look back at life. Being a wedding photographer is a very emotional/technical thing, it is a challenge to create technically correct, well-composed, perfectly lit, beautiful images all day long, every weekend. Wedding photography is not for everyone, but it's for me! I love that challenge. Bring it on!

When I was old enough to pick up a photo album, I fell in love with photography. Not in the way that most people do…. I was obsessed with seeing the past and freezing it, and not with learning how to shoot a fancy camera and equipment. I did not have a real camera until I went to Photography School. All of my birthday and babysitting money was spent on disposable cameras and developing them at Walmart. You know girl paid extra for that one hour photo. I was and still am amazed that you can freeze time for generations to see. It’s more important to me than ever, now that I have two children to show our family history to.
