My mantra is, “Always be kind.” I believe kindness and respect go a long way toward a lasting relationship. Poppy & Hive is the husband-and-wife team of Chris & Erinn Austin. Our roots are in California, and we now call Utah home. We're Jessie and Dallin, a husband and wife wedding photography team serving couples based near Salt Lake City, and throughout Utah and the western United States. After working in the wedding and event industry as a wedding coordinator for two years, I finally pursued my true passion of being a wedding florist! My experience in the wedding industry through internships, workshops, and career positions allowed me to be able to jump right in as a florist. Flowers are so fun and I am glad to be on this side of the wedding industry. I get just as invested in my client’s wedding as they do—if not more! Merinda Starnes has performed as a solo, orchestra, and ensemble musician since 2007. She received her degree in harp performance from the University of Utah studying under Dr. Cathy Clayton. During her college career, she performed with the University of Utah and University of Arizona’s Wind Ensemble and Philharmonic as their principal harpist. ​Her solo performing career started at the age of 9 and since then, she has played in over 100 weddings and events.

Founded as Brigham Academy, the center has a rich history dating back to 1903. It has served various purposes, including a dance hub, roller skating rink, bowling alley, corporate offices for Thiokol Chemical Corporation and then it became the home of American Sportswear. This incredible dance hall is the birthplace of Ballet West and today it stands as the beautifully restored Brigham Academy Center.
