“Working with Stephanie from Bloom Sonora was one of the absolute highlights of planning my wedding. From our very first interaction, she was warm, easy to talk to, and incredibly receptive to my ideas. I came to her with a vision, and not only did she bring it to life—she elevated it in ways I never even imagined. Her creativity and energy are unmatched, and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Stephanie was always prompt and professional, showing up on time and prepared, which helped the entire process run smoothly and gave me such peace of mind on the big day. She created stunning florals for every part of our wedding—**7 bouquets**, custom **pocket and lapel boutonnieres**, and gorgeous **centerpieces for all our tables**. Each arrangement was thoughtfully designed and perfectly coordinated to our color palette and theme. The florals tied everything together and made the entire space feel magical. What really stood out to me was how collaborative and communicative Stephanie was throughout the whole process. She took the time to understand what I wanted and offered ideas that aligned beautifully with my vision. Her passion, attention to detail, and artistic talent truly shine in her work. If you're looking for a florist who is not only professional and reliable but also kind, talented, and deeply passionate about making your event special—**look no further than Bloom Sonora**. Stephanie is a floral genius, and I feel so lucky to have had her be part of our wedding day.”

Joleen Willis Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Sonora, CA
  • Photographer
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,250

It is so important to me that your wedding photography is authentic to you as a couple. I want you to have the space to be yourselves, and the time to savor each part of the day. While I do enjoy directing my couples to some extent, I want to be involved as little or as much as you'd have me. I want to work with you closely months before the day to make a timeline that fits your personality and also gives you confidence in the photos you'll receive once the day is over. I want to make sure that we don't rush to the next part of the day without really enjoying the part that comes before it.

“Hiring Joleen to photograph our 10-person wedding was the best decision we could've made. We were afraid it might be uncomfortable with such a small group, but Joleen fit right in to help direct everyone on the day's activities without interfering in the private nature of our gathering. The pictures came out beautiful! The quality of her work and her knowledge of lighting definitely showed throughout the day and in the final product. Besides all that, she's just a sweetheart and a pleasure to be around! Definitely recommend!”

“We used Event Advantage for both catering and DJ services at The Heirloom Inn for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier. From the start, our food tasting with Louis was fantastic and gave us so much confidence. He was organized and professional throughout the planning process, even accommodating a last-minute request for a small kids' meal option which we appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious—our guests are still raving about the scalloped potatoes! As for the music, Louis handled the DJ services himself and executed everything perfectly. “Deloro Valley is one of the most naturally beautiful wedding venues I have ever been to, without the stuffy and stiff vibes of other venues. It feels like a very liberating sanctuary with a sort of 'adult summer camp' vibe. The team is incredibly friendly and the communication is excellent, responsive and diligent. As a wedding planner, it was rare to have every guest mention the space was hard to leave. They went above and beyond to accommodate requests and make the experience truly unique and special. It's clear how important the happiness of the client is to the Deloro Valley team. Most of my wedding guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. If you are considering this venue for a large event of any kind, know that the experience will hold a place in your guests' hearts forever.”

“CANatural Unions was an absolutely amazing experience that we'll never forget! I've never had so much fun and felt so beautiful while surrounded by epic vistas and sunsets! ...My husband and I are more seasoned hikers, so we went on more difficult treks, but Kira will always make sure the journey fits the traveler. And thanks to the combined talent of Forrest's post-editing, everyone who sees our photos is blown away like we were. In one picture, he somehow turned a day shot into a night shot with crazy editing magic. My husband and I don't just recommend, but demand, that if you're thinking about an outdoor photo adventure with Kira, do it! It's not just a photoshoot, it's an adventure with the person you love.”

“Jenell was so responsive and offered to keep in touch very frequently leading up to the wedding. She took on familiarizing herself with a venue she had not been to or coordinated before our big day. Our venue was unique in that we had to ride the tram at Paisades Tahoe to access the reception Terrace Room. This meant all of our decor, Flower Moxie florals, vendors, and guests had to get up the mountain at particular times. She managed it all fabulously. We can’t say enough great things about Jenell’s work and how she helped us pull off a lot of the DIY final touches. Our Tahoe wedding weekend was perfect.”

Sweet Lilacs

  • Florist

Our studio operates as a collaborative art studio where we discuss, confer, disagree, experiment and delight in our work. We love the challenge of working with new styles and colors, different venues, unique tastes and most of all, different combinations of florals and foliage. Every week is different for us. The unique styles and trends stretch our creativity. We love the challenge. For example, café au lait dahlias have a ninety degree angle that is challenging in a round bouquet. So many little nuances. All this matters to us. We learn and grow with every event. The little details make a huge difference.

“WOW The flowers for our wedding were absolutely beautiful!!! I’m a very visual person so it was hard for me not knowing exactly what to expect on the big day, but during the consultation process Susan attached my inspiration pictures to an itemized bid which definitely helped. And let me tell you, the flowers were everything I wanted and more!!! Susan and her team are organized, easy to work with, and masterful! I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone! So grateful we hired them!”

Photographing elopements happened by chance for me, but once I did my first one, I realized what an amazing experience it was for my couples. Having played a role on so many big wedding days, I realized there was so much my couples were missing out on. The stand out was the pace of the day and time spent with each other! I learned elopements moved at a much slower pace and that those couples had so much more time with each other. They are free to mark the date at a location that really speaks to them, and without a guest list (or a small one) they were so much more free to celebrate the way that left them feeling the most content.

“Joleen is one of my favorite photographers in my area. Every wedding and shoot I have worked with her has been a great experience. She provides a high level of professionalism to her brides and is sensitive to every clients needs on the day. Joleen knows exactly how to make her clients feel at ease and relaxed in front of the camera while capturing the most important moments.”

From the moment we engaged her services, we found ourselves effortlessly gliding through the entire process without a single moment of stress. Jessica's expertise and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our special day. So much so, that I wholeheartedly entrusted her with the arrangement of the florals, not laying eyes on them until the wedding day itself. To say she exceeded our expectations would be an understatement – every detail was flawlessly executed. The venue itself is an absolute gem, radiating an undeniable charm that contributed to the overall magic of the occasion. The accompanying homes provided for our use were not only incredibly cute but also showcased Jessica's unwavering commitment to perfection – no detail was left unattended. “Domenico Winery was an absolute pleasure to work with for a magazine shoot I was photographing for Real Weddings Magazine. Their communication style was friendly, personable, and professional throughout the entire process. They were extremely flexible and open to any vendor collaborations to ensure the day went off without a hitch. We highly recommend Domenico Winery to any couple looking for a beautiful, accommodating wedding venue with a top-notch staff.”
