      The Main Dining Hall is one of the largest indoor spaces in Sonora, comfortably seating 300 to 400 guests. This makes it an excellent choice for large families or community-wide celebrations where smaller local venues might fall short.
      Generally, Elks Lodges allow non-members to rent their facilities for private events like weddings. However, members often receive discounted rates or priority booking. If you aren't a member, you may need a member to "sponsor" your event—it's worth asking the office if they can help facilitate this.
      The Sonora Lodge has a fully equipped commercial kitchen and professional on-site staff who handle many events.
      Because the Lodge holds a liquor license, California law prohibits you from bringing your own alcohol (no "DIY" bars).
      Most couples use the Main Hall for the reception, but it can be partitioned for an indoor ceremony. While the lodge is primarily an indoor facility, the scenic location at the top of Elk Drive offers nice backdrops for outdoor photos with the surrounding pine trees.
