Established in 1969, the 50-acre parcel in Brunswick with nothing more than an old barn and a dream. The barn, originally built in 1869, became the foundation for a Ski Lodge, but would ultimately become the event center that it is today. Although many updates and renovations have taken place over the last 50 years the original barn remains intact, and its beams are still visible in the hall. Over the years Skyview Lodge has held countless events. The building was renovated again in 2001 to expand its capacity and continue building upon the success of the hall rentals. Skyview Lodge heads into its 3rd generation of family ownership & tradition with big plans on the horizon! We look forward to you becoming part of our rich history!

Tom’s Country Place, established in 1959. Our venue accommodates 80-450 guests. Located in a wooded area on 20 acres of scenic grounds, our beautiful gardens provide a picturesque setting for your wedding ceremony & photos. In 1945 a hard-working farmer, Thomas Hricovec had a vision to cater to families with a welcoming atmosphere. His wife, Mary, stood by him and dedicated her time to help him in their journey. The two worked together along with family & friends to make their dream come true. Using their farmland, the Hricovecs changed their lifestyle from farming food, to serving food as well. They broke ground in 1958 and celebrated their first wedding in the fall of 1959. Thomas & Mary instilled the importance of hard work and dedication in their family. Now, third-generation owner Bill Hricovec, a culinary graduate of Johnson & Wales, along with our team, integrates traditional family recipes with a mix of new and innovative menu selections to offer you a wide variety of choices.

But most importantly, God is the head of my life and I wouldn't be where I am OR where I'm headed without him.

Founded in 1940, when we say we have decades of experience, we really mean it. Since then our love for flowers and our team has only grown. Day to day you can catch us designing floral arrangements and delivering them by the truck full. We source locally whenever possible (of course). We especially love weddings and just adore our brides. Aside from that, we are probably spending any other spare time cheering on fellow entrepreneurs and our favorite vendors of this industry. We love to pour back into our city by supporting local events, schools, and the animal shelter. And we could go on of course, but there is a word limit :)

I have been a chef for many years and one year I wanted to make my mom a special cake for Mother’s Day. Her favorite flower is hydrangea, so I attempted to make a cake that looked like a hydrangea. It didn’t look as bad as I thought it was going to. After posting it, I had many friends and family reach out for me to bake them a custom cake. Finally in 2022 I decided to create Katie’s Kakes and received my LLC. I love being in the kitchen and creating something beautiful and tasty for any wedding! I love what I do!
