Something Borrowed Blooms

4.8

Lafayette, LA
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Rosemead, CA

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Truthfully, I don’t believe I ever inquired with a local florist for our wedding because I already had an idea from other brides (and from order minimums listed online), and I knew I didn’t want to allocate a significant budget to decor, but I also wanted a gorgeous and elegant wedding, which certainly includes florals. I started looking into faux floral options and came across SBB. Once I found this company, I never looked back. We ordered a sample box and also visited a bridal shop in CT that carried some of their pieces to see them in person. We originally selected the Wren collection, but then last year they launched the Eloise collection, which we immediately switched to. The florals were absolutely stunning, and even our friends who knew they were fake, were shocked and confused when they saw them because they thought they were real! The rental process was a breeze. We ended up having the order shipped straight to Owl’s Nest so that we didn’t have to transport it up ourselves. The boxes are labeled so you know exactly what is in each box, and how to pack it back up to ship back. There is also an option to buy some of the pieces and keep them as well if you wanted to keep something for sentimentality. They have a Facebook group (SBB Insiders) where other brides share their photos and any creative ways they used their rentals, which was also so helpful to see the real photos! The company itself also releases how-to videos for various arrangements, and you can even schedule live styling sessions to work one on one virtually to see the pieces and how they would work for you. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!! I’d also love to use it again in the future for other events!

Jonathan works with credible establishments throughout LA. That and his reasonable prices signaled to me that he would be a trustworthy vendor. Now, a few months post-wedding, I am so happy to have had him as a part of our wedding. Always a text away and extremely transparent. I gave Jonathan a lot of creative freedom, we went back and forth a few times to fine tune the floral vision. The process was painless and the results were absolutely beautiful. If you aren't sure, just give him a call or follow him on social media for a few weeks and see his personality and talent shine through!

I am so glad that I found Akiko Foral Design. I contacted Akiko just 2 weeks before my intimate wedding, I let her know exactly what I needed (3 bouquets, 4 boutonnieres, and 3 corsages), and we chatted back and forth via email. I sent her pictures of flowers and bouquet styles I liked and she was able to recommend the flowers that were in season. The day of, when she hand-delivered the flowers, "WOW" was what everyone said. I mean, it was exactly how I envisioned it and Akiko nailed it! I absolutely loved my bouquet. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Akiko was amazing to work with- she understood my vision, easy to talk to, quick to respond, and her prices are more than fair. I highly recommend her services!

  • Starts at $3,500

Welcome. Floral designs, one petal at a time. I have been in business for 1.5 years, I've always had a love for flowers and did it on the side as a hobby. After the pandemic, I was inspired to take a leap of faith to see where it could lead me. The style that best describe me are Romantic, Ethereal, Modern, and Whimsical. What really excites me the most about weddings is seeing the clients' reactions after they see my work, which is always priceless to me.

Sam and his team did a really difficult job for our Sunday wedding on Catalina Island. Logistics were anything but easy but Sam worked with us to make it happen. He never gave up, went out of his way to travel to the island ahead of time to view the space, listened to all of our needs and specific desires and created the floral landscape of our dreams. We will be forever grateful. Even a year later, I can't say enough amazing things. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Shelby was an absolute dream to work with! She was incredible from our initial consultation where she provided us with accurate price estimates to bringing our floral dreams to life the day of the ceremony. Shelby was able to take the pictures and vision we provided her at the consultation and bring it into life while helping us to also tie in other elements of our ceremony/theme that we hadn't thought of. One of the things in particular I appreciated is that she helped us figure out what exactly we needed within our budge. When she had the opportunity to up sell me on florals for the aisle, she was very thoughtful in saying that while she would be happy to do it, she also didn't think it was necessary if I was trying to stay within my budget and she was 100% right. When I walked down the aisle, I was absolutely blow away by how beautiful the flowers were and received compliments from several of our guests about how much they loved our bouquets. We also really appreciated her flexibility when we changed a few details last min and her willingness to finish a few final touches by helping out with our reception tables following the full flip of our venue from ceremony to reception. If you are thinking about working with Love Her Madly, do it! You won't be disappointed.
