“Willow Vale is an incredible venue if you are looking for something personal, versatile and picturesque! A quaint little spot under large willow trees and surrounded by mountains- It could not have been a more perfect setting for our wedding! Lori was wonderful to work with and easy to communicate with all of my questions. We loved that we could stay on site on all weekend in the cute cabins and the flexibility within the venue for locations of the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. She also had a lot of decor, tables and cutlery to utilize as well which was an amazing plus (one less thing to worry about). Our guests (who are frequent wedding go-ers at this point) couldn't stop raving about the unpredicted beauty of Willow Vale and the Westcliffe area and plan to return. We truly can't recommend Lori and her team at Willow Vale enough! Ps- the stars at night are incredible, I only wish I could place a picture with this review!”

“Kodie is such a gem of a human being and I am so blessed that I got to work with her, she made my whole wedding experience and wedding day absolutely perfect!!! My (now) husband and I are from MN and we wanted to get married in CO and have a small wedding. At the beginning of my wedding planning I found Kodie when she had posted in groups about her mobile bar business K-Bar, in a CO wedding group on Facebook. I went to her website to check out the bars and such because they looked adorable. While I was looking around the website I found that they had recently began to offer micro weddings at their home/land near Guffey CO that couples can make their own day! So I sent a message and Kodie sent me more information and it was an immediate yes!! We booked and got everything going! Kodie responded to emails and texts in a timely manner and we spoke on the phone many times. She is so nice and took time to go over options, give recommendations, and walk me through everything. She coordinated and put everything together for us! We had a big beautiful white tent with sides that we could open or close (in case of weather) with cafe lights, portapotty, yard games, tables and chairs, beverages, and food!! We had a personal pizza party & a nonalcoholic beverage station! Everyone made their own pizza and Kodie cooked it in a wood fire grill! She had so many topping options for people and it was a HUGE hit!! We got to pick an alcoholic beverage package and what bar we wanted (we went with Johnnie Cash)! Chris was a fabulous bartender and he was so fun to chat with! Kodie had so many fun options, decor, and details!! We have nothing but good things to say about our day and there is not a single thing that we would have changed!! I kid you not, we received compliments from every guest and had multiple people tell us that it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to!! Everything was exactly what I had dreamed of and working with K-Bar was really what made it so great! Not to mention the gorgeous views and their donkeys! When we come back to CO for vacations in the future, I will for sure be reaching out to Kodie to meet up because her and Mitch feel like family now! XO-The Utsch’s!”

Beyond our fantastic vendor team and amazing wedding planner, Erika Weeks, we had a great experience working with Hillside and with the owners Donavan & Ashlee, and the events coordinator Lauren. Hillside is a truly unique venue. When we first toured in March 2025 we were blown away by the setting and views. From March 2025 to today, they continue to incorporate upgrades into the venue, including new artwork and a brand new creek/pond that adds to the ethereal ambiance. Donavan and Ashlee were super accommodating and happy to at least consider different questions and requests we had. We live out of state but cannot wait to come back and visit for another Wednesday Concert Series and a cup of coffee!”

“I am in AWE. Number 1, having a wedding coordinator is a must. And Natalie was amazing!! She took care of everything, from planning meetings, final meetings, rehearsal, day of timing and keeping everything on track. She is marvelous. This venue is mostly all included, DJ, catering, table settings, center pieces. And I love that you can do the ceremony and reception all in once place. It has the coziest mountain feeling to it while still being extremely classy. Food tastes amazing, the DJ service is very personalized - and they help you the whole entire way. You get this giant planning book once you officially book & it really helps. Anytime we had random concerns or questions we would just email them and be contacted back within the same day. The price fully depends on how many guests you plan on having, we had a 53 person wedding and it was VERY affordable for an all included place. They also do all your day of set up including any decor you choose to provide at the rehearsal! You also get access to the bridal / groom suites a few hours before the ceremony. Wedgewood made the planning actually fun and enjoyable! I was stress feee the entire day! Lots of adorable places for photos too, especially in the fall with all the colors. Thank you Wedgewood for making mine and Tyler’s day PERFECT.”

We have a one of a kind wedding package with venue, photography and videography combined for an unbeatable price! When we started planning our wedding, we had a simple vision: a place in the mountains where all our friends and family could gather, stay together, and truly share the experience. We were working with a very small budget, so we embraced the idea of camping and cooking most of our meals ourselves—only catering the wedding day. The rest of the time, we spent hiking, playing yard games, sharing meals, and soaking in the beauty of the mountains. It was relaxed, joyful, and genuinely magical. Malachite Ranch was born from that experience. It’s our way of offering other couples the chance to create the same kind of meaningful, connected celebration—where time slows down, people come together, and the memories feel as natural and unforgettable as the setting itself.

Why you'll love this venue

“Malachite Ranch made planning our wedding feel effortless from start to finish. The team was always available to answer questions and work with us on exactly what we wanted—they never said no to any of our ideas. What really stood out was how much they did beyond what we paid for, helping with details we didn't even ask about. The venue itself is stunning with its minimalistic, natural aesthetic. We felt so supported throughout the entire process, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and well-run everything was. If you're looking for a venue where the hosts genuinely cares about making your day special, Malachite Ranch is the place.”

“This is SUCH a hidden gem of a venue! Having the full weekend to spend with our friends and family was such a gift and Idlewild was perfect for that. So many guests came from out of state and were super impressed with the whole area and the beauty of the venue in particular. They also loved that they could really see how "personalized to us" we got to make the wedding, thanks to the flexibility of Idlewild. One of our favorite parts was that we got to have the ceremony in a spot that they hadn't held one before, but were completely up for making it work. It was a clearing in the forest, nestled by trees and with the perfect afternoon light. The barn is beautiful, but we really wanted to have cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing all outside as well and they were happy to make that work too! That was really important to us and we were so glad to pull it off. This venue is great for a couple who is creative and wants to truly make it their own, OR for the minimalistic couple who wants to let their natural surroundings do most of the talking. Definitely go check it out and get in before it gets better well-known and books out several years in advance”

“We chose Western Museum of Mining & Industry for our wedding and couldn't be happier with that decision. From our first conversation, the team was responsive and easy to work with, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. They were incredibly flexible when we kept adjusting our timeline, and never made us feel rushed or frustrated. On the day of the wedding, they gave us plenty of time to set up and checked in throughout to ensure everything was running smoothly. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking for photos, with rustic charm that made our pictures look stunning. Best of all, we got incredible value for the price, which allowed us to invest in other parts of our day. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful, affordable space that truly cares about making your wedding special.”

It all started when a Groom called his Best Man in need of ideas for a back up plan when a rainy September day was threatening to ruin his bride’s backyard wedding…for 100 people. A former machine shop just became vacant, so the best man thought maybe it could work. It became clear the weather was not going to cooperate, so the plan went into effect. Within 48 hours, a makeshift wedding utilizing the brides, decor and tables, scrubbing up oil from the recent removal of machining equipment, and sister-in laws that stepped up to the plate to help a bride, and love parties and a good challenge, helped make the day a success. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun bringing a warehouse to life! After a couple weeks of deliberation, we decided to jump in and make this place special. Here we are, seeing our vision come true, and providing Colorado Springs with a unique event hall to share and make memories.
