In 2017, the Alliance transformed the barn into a great gathering place. The recently completed renovation brings contemporary comfort and energy efficiency to a setting that still retains its authentic character. For weddings and private celebrations, the “big red barn” opens onto beautiful outdoor spaces for garden ceremonies and cocktails, while the interior is scaled for dinner and dancing for as many as 175 guests.

Bishop Farmstead is THE perfect venue for any couple who is looking for a cozy and rustic feel for their celebration! This was our first and only venue that my fiancé and I toured and we instantly fell in love with the beautiful and well-kept grounds and barn; we knew that there was no other place that could compare. Bishop Farmstead perfectly fit our vision for a rustic, yet still elegant and classy wedding reception space. Compared to many other NJ venues, especially for the September-October months, the venue was very reasonably priced. The decor/style that the venue provides is naturally gorgeous, especially the candle package. Definitely recommend Bishop Farmstead if you are looking for a laid-back and timeless wedding/reception.

You get a better price if you're a township resident, but even the pricing for out-of-township couples was still so reasonable! The location was very close to the train station and there was plenty of parking available for our guests. You'll be limited to their approved caterers and we went with D&D and the food was fantastic. They even had a special spread for our vegan family members which we greatly appreciated! The Temple Garden was beautiful and we really lucked out with our photographer knowing the location well enough to recommend where to shoot our pictures. But I definitely recommend going at least once to scope out where you want your couple pictures taken.
