“With a short engagement and a tight budget, we were having a hard time finding a venue. On a whim, I randomly found Community Courtyard. Little did I know it has been a town staple in Plattsburg, MO for 20 years as an event space. The building itself is very historical, dating back to the 1800's. This building is a non-profit and runs as a food bank throughout the week, so you know your money is going to a good cause. They came at very reasonable price (about 70% lower than most places we looked at). Not only that but we got a lot of bang for our buck. They had decor we could use, a sound system, a cute bridal suite, they tore everything down for us for a small fee, and were super flexible with scheduling. It also holds a lot of guests and has ample kitchen space on both floors. I would recommend this venue to anyone!”

“Paradise Park was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first visited in person, the owner made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. Their communication style was excellent, with regular calls and in-person meetings to discuss all the details. The venue itself is truly stunning, with spacious rooms, multiple areas and buildings, and plenty of space both indoors and out. The owner made sure all the photo spots were in perfect condition, and even gave us great ideas on how to use the different spaces, like the small church-like building and the multiple stages overlooking the river and wooded areas. We felt so taken care of, and the owner was always checking in to make sure things were going smoothly leading up to the big day. Being able to rent the venue for the full weekend was an added bonus that allowed us to really make the most of the space. Overall, we could not have asked for a better venue and wedding experience. Highly recommended!”

“Something Borrowed Blooms provided the most lifelike and luxurious floral arrangements for our wedding day. The bouquets, ceremony pieces and boutonnieres were all incredibly realistic and high quality, with vibrant colors and lush textures that exceeded our expectations. In fact, as my husband and I were taking photos in a park, a bee even tried to pollinate my bouquet, drawn to its beauty and realism. Getting the boxes to the venue did require a bit of coordination, but with a little help from friends we were able to easily box them up the day after the wedding and ship them off via FedEx. We saved easily 2,000 thanks to Something Borrowed and you would never know the flowers were fake.”

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (105 reviews)
  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Princeton, MO

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We were on a strict budget for our wedding. I knew that florals would be the best way to save on some of the huge wedding costs. I found out about Flower Moxie from googling where I would get wholesale flowers. I was immediately hooked once I saw the flower options, tutorials, and worksheets to help plan out my special day. I am very big on organization, and this website had resources for every step of the way. I found the perfect combination of flowers for my boho wedding. I ordered the flowers about 2 months before our big day. It was a destination wedding, so I was checking into our airbnb on the day the flowers were arriving. I had them scheduled to be delivered at the Fedex holding center near by. I thought the company only used Fedex shipping based on my research. I went into full panic mode when I saw the flowers had been shipped by UPS. I immediately called UPS and Fedex, and to be honest I was stunned at the behavior on the other side of the phone. The flowers were still in transit, and no one would help me with rerouting. I called Flower Moxie to see if they could change things on their side as they were the sender. Luis answered the phone and it felt like I finally had someone looking out for me. I had already spent 4 hours on the phone with the shipping companies and gotten nowhere. Luis said he was on it and not to worry. I ordered enough flowers for 18 centerpieces, 70 bud vases, 8 bouquets, and 1 flower arch. Needless to say, it was quite the ordeal to reroute everything. Over the next 48 hours, Luis kept in constant contact with me about the progress of the shipment. I know I was on the phone for at least 6 hours with this ordeal, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had spent about 15 hours talking to UPS, Fedex, florists, and customs to get me my flowers. He made me feel calm and taken care of. Everyone was coming to me with questions and concerns the entire wedding week, and I can't express how it felt to have someone have my back, and take an extremely big tasks off my plate. I would absolutely recommend this company for DIY brides. And I hope this review is seen by Flower Moxie to highlight an outstanding employee with excellent customer service. In an age when it takes time and multiple attempts in order to talk to a person on the phone, I am so appreciative of the effort that was given by Luis for my wedding day. He made me feel like it was an important event for him too. Thank you Luis for making my wedding dreams come true! My sister also mentioned you in her MOH wedding speech. We were all impressed :)”

“I cannot recommend PressRecord enough! From start to finish, the entire process was incredibly easy and completely stress-free. The camcorders were simple for our guests to use, and everything was clearly explained, making the whole experience foolproof. What truly impressed me was their customer service. They were unbelievably kind and responded to every email so quickly. They even re-edited our wedding film **twice** to make sure it was exactly what we envisioned, and they happily searched through all of the footage to include very specific moments that were important to us. The most meaningful thing they did was incorporate a photo I sent them of our memorial table honoring my mom and my husband's grandparents who had passed away. Including that tribute in our wedding video meant more to us than I can express, and I'm so grateful they took the time to make it happen. Our final 5-minute home video feels so personal and captures the heart of our wedding day perfectly. “Taylor Made Catering provided exceptional service for our wedding reception. Their communication throughout the planning process was quick and effective, ensuring we felt informed and prepared. The quality of their work and value was amazing - they were incredibly helpful, and the food they served was absolutely delicious. Breakfast for dinner was a huge hit! Our guests raved about the catering, and we were thrilled with the level of service Taylor Made provided to make our special day a success. I cannot recommend them enough.”

“I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!”

“We cannot say enough amazing things about Epic Photos! They were absolutely the best choice we could have made for our wedding day. From start to finish, they made everything feel so stress-free and easy, and somehow managed to keep me calm, happy, and easygoing throughout the entire day! One of the things we loved most about Epic Photos is that they have multiple locations. Since we were getting married in St. Louis but living in Colorado, we were still able to have our engagement photos taken by the same company in Colorado. It was so special to have that consistency and experience with them leading up to our wedding day. Our wedding day was a HOT summer day in St. Louis, with plenty of humidity, but our photographer was willing to do absolutely anything to make sure we got the photos we wanted. Even when we went outside in the humid heat and the camera lenses were literally fogging up, he never complained and was completely willing to roll with it to get the shots we envisioned. That level of dedication meant so much to us! We have very large families, and he took on all of the family photos like an absolute champ. He was patient, organized, and somehow managed to keep everything moving smoothly. He also captured all of the moments of our day so perfectly, including the little candid moments we didn’t even realize were happening. Looking through our photos feels like we get to relive our entire wedding day all over again, and that is something we will cherish forever. He also did an amazing job keeping me happy, calm, and easygoing throughout the entire day. Wedding days can be stressful, but having someone there who was so confident, flexible, and willing to do whatever it took made such a huge difference. My brother and his wife used Epic Photos for their wedding, and after seeing their experience, we knew we wanted to use them for ours. We are SO glad we did! From our engagement photos in Colorado to our wedding day in St. Louis, they exceeded our expectations every step of the way. We would recommend Epic Photos to absolutely anyone looking for a wedding photographer. They are incredibly talented, professional, flexible, and genuinely care about making your day special. They gave us photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives and memories that we can relive over and over again. We are so grateful they were such an important part of our wedding day!”

“Where do I even begin... first, Heather was absolutely phenomenal! She was able to fit us in with probably the shortest notice ever. She was also able to work with our budget. Her communication was amazing, she answered all of my questions quickly. She made us feel very comfortable! Working with her and her fiance felt like we had all been friends already, we just clicked (haha). Side note: we got to help out two poor little stray kittens with them, so animal lovers always a plus in my book! I am madly in LOVE with the photos she took, they are absolutely perfect!!!! She was able to capture our dream come true and so much more!!! They are so beautiful!!! She was even able to finish the editing earlier then planned. I already talked it over with my husband, and we plan on hiring her again in the future! A five star rating does not do her justice, she was hands down the best!!!”
