“Shukhrat and his wife Rachel just shot our June 8th wedding and we couldn't be happier. They were amazing to work with and the photos are phenomenal! About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people. You spend so much time on your wedding day with your photographers, it's really important to feel comfortable with them, and we certainly did. They brought both a fun, but calming energy, easing our pre-wedding jitters before the ceremony, and leaning into the excitement as the night went on. From our first meeting, Chelsea listened to us, understood what we were coming from and where we wanted to go in terms of our photos. Her breathtaking bright and colorful photos were exactly what we were looking for in our April wedding. Located at the Jersey Shore, where most photographers focus on sunny beach weddings, I was looking for something different. Our wedding took place in the fall, full of rich earth tones and a fun, edgy vibe that centered not just on romance, but on the presence of our children. It was important to us that the day felt authentic, emotional, and full of movement. And, just to make it more fun, ours was a Halloween wedding. We had a formal ceremony followed by a costume reception, and Eric embraced every bit of it. He didn’t just roll with our unique requests—he elevated them. He found the perfect location: a hidden gem that was edgy, raw, and exactly what I didn’t even know I was hoping for. The backdrop had this cinematic, timeless feel that makes you wonder “where in the world could they be,” which paired beautifully with our nontraditional theme. Photographing four young kids is no easy task, especially on such a big day. But Eric’s speed, patience, and instincts were unbelievable. He captured fleeting moments—tiny glances, quick smiles, the chaos and joy of our family—without ever losing sight of the romance and connection between me and my husband. Every image tells a story. Our standard bearer of all wedding themed films, is the 1991 remake of Father of the Bride, starring Steve Martin and Martin Short. It’s an homage to George’s meltdown in the grocery store over the hot dog to bun ratio in packaging. It’s a classic, watch it. We could give you some song and dance about how it’s also symbolic in a belief that quality imagery is an important part of your wedding, but really and truly, the movie’s just that good.
