“I am so happy we chose Claire as our photographer!! I am absolutely obsessed with our engagement and wedding photos. She was fantastic to work with from the very start, super responsive and professional, and when we got our engagement photos back - I knew we made the right choice!! I wanted photos that felt like real moments where when I saw them - I didn’t think of the pose and position, I thought of the emotions I was feeling and that was what she was able to capture! Our engagement shoot was so fun, and she was so flexible with our vision - meeting us in Lake Geneva, WI for a little bit of everything (lake photos with our dog, sharing an ice cream, and then photos of just myself and my now husband - cuddled up on a couch at a local coffee shop). Come wedding day - she was the perfect amount of letting moments happen naturally but also, making sure things we said were important to us as a couple were captured! Sometimes instead of doom scrolling on Instagram - I happily scroll through the photos she captured!”

“I seriously don't even know where to begin. Picking a photographer was one of the most important aspects for my spouse and I, and we met with at least a dozen different people to find the perfect fit. Picking Courtney was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding process. Courtney brings a professional and calm atmosphere to your wedding day. Couples: please remember that you will be spending almost your entire day with the photographer! Courtney's vibe was amazing. I did not feel rushed, I didn't feel anxious. She helped me keep on the timeline we set, but also left a ton of room for us working on our own schedule as the day/timeline naturally shifted. I was running late for makeup, first looks, etc. and she just let it happen as it happened, which I really appreciated. I was able to enjoy what was happening rather than worrying about a timeline that really didn't matter much. But, I also got the impression that if the timeline did really matter, she would make sure it happened. She really did an amazing job of matching our energy and both my spouse and I said we would be friends with her outside of the wedding! She is truly so, so, so amazing professionally and personally. Now, the photos! We both were crying within minutes of looking at them, with huge smiles on our faces. She really perfectly captured the day, in the moments getting ready, the ceremony itself, and the moments immediately after. The posed formal portraits were as important to us as the actual events, and she nailed it all. We are obsessed with our gallery and have an impossible task of deciding which photos to print! She stuck to her delivery timeline and we got the sneak peaks on the first day of our honeymoon, truly perfect timing. If you have any doubts about hiring Courtney, don't. We met with a lot of people who did not have experience with couples who looked like us. With Courtney, we did not feel like guinea pigs or like she wanted to work with us just to expand her portfolio to have a queer, plus sized wedding in an art museum (we definitely got this vibe from other photographers). You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

“Abby wasn’t able to travel to my wedding but she sent her assistants and she edited the photos. It went absolutely perfect. The photos were beautiful and I got so many meaningful photos with my family and his family that I wouldn’t have thought to get. “Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“My husband and I got engaged in 2023 and had planned for our wedding to be in July of 2025. For two years one of our biggest challenges was finding a photographer that was in our budget, that would still provide us with the perfect product we had invisioned in our minds. We had searched high and low finding MANY photographers that will say they can adjust their packages to fit our budget, and still somehow come up with a total of 4000 dollars. Then we found Sam. I was hesitant at first because I wanted a specific style I hadn’t seen in her galleries, a more sultry- whimsical- cinematic/ dramatic candid feel. However when I brought that up to Sam she had reassured me that her range of editorial styles and shooting styles was very large as she’s been doing this for YEARS, and had sent me some separate more recent shots she had taken to prove that. We had talked very in detail for days about the hours ineeded from her, pricing, I also explained she would be traveling (which is never a problem for Sam. She loves traveling! ) and we had made a very well customized package trimmed to fit my hours and budget. In the end I received ALL the pictures taken edited exactly how we wanted them. On the wedding day Sam did an amazing job of helping, taking charge of things, and making sure all of our needs were met. I swear she was half wedding planner half photographer. If I needed people to do something she made it happen if I needed people to start getting ready for pictures-she was on it. Her time management is absolutely insane and such a blessing to have on your wedding day. She had some of the best ideas I’ve ever heard when it came to certain poses I wanted accomplished or specific visions I had. She was energetic, hilarious, and made sure everyone had the best time taking these pictures. I couldn’t recommend Sam enough. She truly is a photography wizard and will have all of your wedding day dreams come true.”
