More importantly, he imagined bringing others’ visions to life with a beautiful and unique setting for weddings and private events.

My (now!) husband, Matt and I, had our DREAM wedding at Rosewood this winter. From intro tour to married - the entire process was so easy and fun. Their preferred vendor list is perfect - does a lot of the upfront work for you. All of my vendors knocked it out of the park. Not to mention, how GORGEOUS is Rosewood? Beautiful and HUGE suite to get ready in with all of my girls. The guys had a blast playing pool and video games while getting ready. We had so much gush over the cocktail hour space from our guests - which is conveniently both indoor and outdoor friendly. We danced the night away during the reception. So much room for everyone to mingle. The space is a blank slate that gives you so much room to make the décor your own. The photo booth was one of the highlights for us, we loved getting all of the photos after the fact. Have your wedding at Rosewood, it's the best and easiest decision you'll make!

Kate and all the Viceroy staff were awesome and available to guide as we hosted a small, socially distance and intimate wedding reception. She was always available and flexible. She is the most awesome ambassador for the Viceroy hotels. The hotel was new and well maintained and we loved the outdoor patio where we held our reception. If you are looking a place to host a small outdoor wedding and or reception definitely consider the Viceroy. They heard our concerns and made sure our safety and the safety of our guests was paramount. The food was amazing, definitely try the chicken sandwich!

After we first got engaged, we had a specific idea in mind for how we wanted the day to look. We were going for a rustic/1920s style. Saying it out loud probably sounded odd. Our first (and only as it turned out) stop was Cherry Hill. It’s literally a hidden gem in the DC area. The pavilion was absolutely beautiful to have our ceremony in and using the chapel as our cocktail hour room before going to the ballroom was perfect. Not to mention most everyone stayed at the grounds so there was no worry about driving or other issues. They supplied a tractor to take us around the grounds for photos and relaxation time before our reception entrance. The decorations that Linda helped us with in every location around the camp ground was absolutely perfect- she saw our inspirations and made them BETTER. I seriously cannot say enough about the amazing team at Cherry Hill Park and everything it has to offer for those wanting to get married. Did I mention I was a Covid bride? Talk about stress and changes happening daily but Linda was always there to talk me through it and make the day as close to what my husband and I wanted as possible with circumstances. I swear, it turned out better than we ever imagined even pre-pandemic! I could talk all day about how amazing the people and location is.

Kentlands Mansion is conveniently located in Gaithersburg, Maryland with easy access to I-270, nearby hotels, dining and shopping. The Tschiffely-Kent property has been a landmark along Darnestown Road since 1900. The stately mansion was built by Frederick Tschiffely, and later sold to Otis Beall Kent in 1942. The elegant property now belongs to the City of Gaithersburg, and is an ideal venue for weddings, receptions, social functions and business meetings.

I recommend the Kentlands Mansion not only because of its charm but for the easiness it was to work with the staff. This was our first annual Christmas Party and we did not need to bring any additional decorations because the Mansion was beautifully decorated and created a warm holiday feeling for us and our guests. There was plenty of parking which is normally a concern with events but not here. I also liked that when it got a little warm because of dancing that we were able to step out on the canopied porch for some fresh air but was still able to hear the music. Looking forward to another event at the Mansion!

I would recommend the Chestnut Hill Villa to everyone. The staff, the grounds, the house its all amazing. This is the perfect place for a wedding. Everyone is so helpful and sweet. Will do anything to make your stay perfect. So glad I choose the Villa. Thanks Patty, You are the best!!!

The suite I was given was enormous and perfect for getting ready, the decor is gorgeous, and the staff was perfectly well organized, special shout out to my event coordinator Erin who was my calming grace throughout the whole planning process. Party all day and night and just take the elevator to your room, it's the way to go.

Hy husband and I were married at Lighthouse Sound on September 8th. To say that our day was perfect would be an understatement. Here is our review… The Space: We continue to have our guests tell us that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever seen even months after our wedding. Our ceremony took place in the gazebo, cocktail hour on the patio, and reception in the tent (rented from Coastal Tented Events). All with incredible water views, cooling breezes, and great light. We were blessed with amazing weather, but also loved the indoor backup plan. The Staff: During the planning process, we worked with incredible coordinators. Shellie and Rose were THE BEST to work with. They were willing and excited to answer my one million questions the months leading up to the wedding. Shellie communicated with our other vendors and gave recommendations every step of the way. Their day-of coordination was SPOT ON. They made sure every decoration, floral arrangement, sign, etc. was perfect and that the entire schedule of the day ran smoothly. The wonderful bartenders and servers provided outstanding service for my husband and I and all of our guests. The drinks were great and the food was incredible. Which brings me to the food… The Food: We loved how many options were available when selecting our menu… dinner tiers, plated or buffet style, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Having the catering done in house was so helpful and made our planning process easier. The Golf: My husband loves to golf! He enjoyed playing the course on the morning of our wedding (he got one foursome for free). The pro shop was happy to help with scheduling tee times for his groomsmen and our other family members that played as well. He said this is one of his favorite courses he has ever played! We cannot recommend Lighthouse Sound more. We had the most incredible wedding and credit so much of that to the wonderful people and experience Lighthouse Sound. We can’t wait to come back for more meals and golf next time we are in town.

We had our wedding and reception at the museum in April 2023 - it was the perfect location for our 100-guest event. We had the ceremony and dinner in the courtyard, with a tent (because of uncertain weather) and a very small dance floor. There was plenty of space for more tables if you have a larger event. We used the exhibit hall for the bar, the octagonal room for dancing, and the narrow gallery for the buffet. We used the library to get dressed and to store our things during the event. The entire space, both indoor and outdoor, was lovely and perfect for the event. Dan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and super helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

We were getting compliments on the venue all night at the wedding! The only thing we did not love is that it is not completely accessible, as there is no elevator. We were told there is plans for an elevator, but not sure when that will be.

Their indoor reception area is a beautifully built barn with delicious food & a spacious dance floor. Their event coordinator & wait staff are always a pleasure to work with. We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

My wife Brittany and I have had a fantastic and transformative experience dancing at Forever Dancing Ballroom! We found them at one of their open house events and immediately booked a package of lessons with Fabio for our wedding. Our dance lessons were always a fun break from wedding planning, and we left every dance lesson feeling better than we did when we walked in. It was exciting to learn new moves and choreography at every lesson. At first, we thought the techniques were difficult, but with practice and good coaching, we were able to learn the steps and perform a romantic and fun first dance at our wedding. It was thrilling to do our dance in front of such a supportive and enthusiastic crowd - we absolutely loved the magic moment of our first dance! My wife and I had a casual interest in dancing before we worked on the first dance with Fabio, but since then, we've become hooked and now we take group classes and have continued with private lessons as well. Jennifer Bonini manages the studio classes, billing, private lessons, events, and more. She is friendly, funny, and supportive, and very excellent at keeping everything organized. A talented dancer herself, Jennifer has also shared some excellent dance coaching with us from time to time. Other coaches at the studio are similarly personable and welcoming to all. The entire vibe at Forever Dancing is simply perfect for those looking for an approachable dance studio that will keep you smiling, moving, and have a blast dancing. The outdoor site affords expansive views of the structured golf course, grass, and trees. An indoor ceremony site is also available, complete with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that likewise afford views of the course. Indoor receptions can be held in the ballroom, which has a maximum capacity of 200 guests. This ballroom was renovated from a former dairy barn. Its history as a dairy barn lends the stylish facility a rustic sensibility. Nonetheless, the million-dollar renovation has given it unmatched panache and style, featuring patterned carpets, elegant light fixtures, and windows for arresting views. It also has an attached patio, which is excellent for a cocktail hour or general mingling.
