The Henri is a uniquely flexible restaurant experience for dining, happy hours, private events, daily luncheons, receptions of all sizes, and more. Named in honor of Chef Frederik de Pue's grandfather, The Henri is located between the National and Warner Theaters on Pennsylvania Avenue, just blocks from the White House. The Henri embraces the vibrant surroundings of downtown DC while offering guests an innovative dining experience in an intimate and warm setting. Featuring two dining concepts in one- a 72 seat modern-European bistro that showcases Chef de Pue’s classical training in Belgium and features a stunning Bonnet Rotisserie, and six versatile one-of-a-kind private dining rooms, including access to our expansive rooftop with breathtaking views of the U.S. Capitol, National Mall, and surrounding monuments. We invite you into our comfortable venue where you can escape from the hustle of the city. Our flexible, one-of-a-kind space is perfect for any kind of event.

The Henri

Our customized private dining experience is at the heart of what we do. With multiple layouts, A/V connections, and a menu tailored to your needs, The Henri is an ideal location to host your next event.

The Henri’s six customizable private dining rooms surround a central kitchen and allow for bespoke menus and room configurations. Each room will offer guests a warm and inviting atmosphere, impeccable service, and flexible menus. Adorned with eponymous art from photographer David Hendley, each of The Henri’s unique private dining rooms are equipped with a state-of-the-art anti-bacterial filtration ventilation system as well as individual lighting, sound, and temperature controls. Our Seasons dining rooms are also furnished with Samsung 4k QLED ‘The Frame’ series screens for AV needs. The Henri is the perfect location for your next function, cocktail reception, and social event. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate gathering or a grand affair, we’ll ensure each event is a reflection of you.

Our beautifully appointed private dining rooms ensure top-notch service, modern hospitality, and a unique space for your event. The Henri is perfect for all occasions. We can accommodate private events for groups ranging from 4-80 guests in our private seated dinner setting and cocktail receptions from 15 – 250 guests. Our A/V capabilities are suitable for up to 90 people. The Henri features state-of-the-art air filtration for peace of mind. Work with our Chef to create a custom menu that meets all of your needs.
