My earliest memories of taking photos were with a disposable camera in the 6th grade. I would take one everywhere with me! Some photos were either blurry or washed out with that insanely bright flash. But man, I loved it. Seeing my photographs in my hands there is nothing like it.

I’m Edgar, an HTX-raised native with Salvadorian roots. I am the owner, creative director, and lead photographer at Anchor Studios Photography. He worked at Lyric Opera of Chicago filming operas before joining VIDART. He is the author of the college textbook Cinematography 101, and has worked with John de Lancie (Q in Star Trek: TNG) on the science documentary The Reality of Time. Michael has also worked on the sets of over a dozen other feature films.
