“Spruce Mountain was the best venue we could have possibly chosen. My fiancé was sold from the pictures online and when we toured, I spent the whole time just breathless. We were on the upper ranch with the ceremony on Trey's Vista (stunning), cocktail hour in the Spruce Room, and reception in the Ponderosa Room. Communication with them was easy, Tara was our representative and she happily answered all of our questions and communicated seamlessly without overloading our inbox. She even provided me with a preferred vendors list of vendors they have worked with before which created a great starting place for finding vendors. I was a bit skeptical of their requirement of a Day of Coordinator, but I am so thankful that they required it. We didn't have to lift a finger on the wedding day, I wasn't being asked a million questions, it was fantastic. On the wedding day, our property manager came to introduce herself and told us where to find her if we needed her, there was music playing on the TV in the bridal suite, everything was so clean and perfectly set up to start the day. All of our guests could not stop raving about the venue - the views at the ceremony site, having separate spaces for each part of the day, the mix of indoor and outdoor space for the cocktail hour and reception, and so many said "this sets my bar so high for weddings". If I could do my wedding all over again, I would book Spruce with no hesitation!!”

Old Homestead is more than a wedding venue—it’s a place to slow down, gather your favorite people, and turn your wedding into an unforgettable Colorado mountain experience. Tucked away in North Park, our historic 88-acre property offers dramatic mountain views, a private stretch of the Illinois River, rustic cabins, RV sites, and our historic Lodge for celebrations. We specialize in multi-day wedding retreats and private celebrations, giving you the opportunity to welcome your guests, gather around the fire, exchange vows with the mountains as your backdrop, celebrate in the Lodge, and enjoy meaningful time together beyond the ceremony and reception. Our property is rustic, remote, comfortable, and intentionally different from a traditional wedding venue. Whether you envision an intimate celebration or a private multi-day getaway with everyone you love, Old Homestead gives you the space and flexibility to make it your own.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic charm with elegance
  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Rustic yet refined style

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible

“We truly could not have dreamed of a more perfect place to get married. We had the honor of being Old Homestead Campground’s first wedding, and they went above and beyond to make the entire weekend so special for us. We spent three days there surrounded by our closest friends and family, and it was everything we wanted our wedding to be — relaxed, beautiful, intimate, and genuinely fun. Having everyone together at the campground turned our wedding into an entire weekend of memories instead of just one day. Lauren and her family wer incredibly kind and accommodating throughout it all, and we felt so welcomed. One of my favorite things is knowing that our wedding venue isn’t somewhere we’ll visit once and never see again. It’s a place we already can’t wait to return to year after year. I love thinking about coming back for snowboarding trips, anniversaries, vacations, and someday bringing our future kids to the place where we got married. Old Homestead will always be such a special place to us. We are so grateful they trusted us to be their first wedding and helped make the weekend better than we ever could have imagined. We’ll absolutely be back for years to come.”
