“My husband and I couldn’t be happier we went with Riverview Ballroom for our wedding day. The venue is gorgeous, classy and refined. The chandeliers are gorgeous, I’m obsessed with the bars in the large riverview ballroom… it’s very cool how there’s a slightly separated area with 2-3 stairs with a bar and couches. It gives a lounge vibe. The room has the fun purple-ish colored marble bars but the rest of the room is fairly white, allowing brides and grooms to really design and color it however they want. No carpet anywhere which is … great. We had exactly 200 people at our wedding. We did the ceremony outside (thankfully had a gorgeous October day) with the cocktail hour in the large room to the left (I forget what it’s called) and then reception in the riverview ballroom with the amazing nyc view. The room did NOT feel crowded at all, the dance floor was still big. They can fit up to 700 people in there but I personally think a sweet spot would be under 300, comfortably. Especially if you have alot of dancers in the crowd!! The bathrooms are beautiful as well which is always a nice touch. I used the bridal suite the morning of but had a lot of women with me so we also needed that side room (where a lot of indoor ceremonies take place). Thank God we had that room, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get ready there the morning of. So bridal suite is awesome, had a sick massage chair which my mom loved! But fits comfortably 10 people total including hair and makeup. So keep that in mind if getting ready on site is important to you. Absolutely possible because I had 12 women with me morning of plus 5 glam team, so a total of 17. Staff was there getting us coffee and such which was nice. My advice to any bride going to ANY venue is to communicate clearly with what you want and how you want the day to go, BEFORE the wedding day. We personally didn’t experience any issues, but there are minor things I wish I vocalized, but never had time too (like where exactly I wanted the flip flops to be displayed, minor things that are not a reflection of the venue just advice!!!) I thought I would remember to vocalize them the morning of the wedding, but I was wrong. Anyways back to the venue (lol!) the balcony space outside the ballroom is such a nice touch, giving guests a breath of fresh air and some beautiful spots of nighttime photos. The staff was exceptional at the end of the wedding, helping us clean up quickly, packing up all of our bins, and letting us keep them there for 1-2 days while we got out lives together. We worked with Monika and she was such a pleasure, always kind, PATIENT, responsive and supportive while shooting us straight. Worked with Stefanie as well who was always super helpful and didn’t mind my 192937 questions. I never felt misled in any way, never felt like the venue was trying to sucker every dollar out of us. We feel like we paid fair value for what we got and despite it being a lot of money (200 person wedding) we feel confident we got the best deal around. No regrets, we’d choose this venue over and over again. My vendors had an easy time working with them as well which helps make the day go smoothly. I am a very type A bride and person and I had asked the venue if they think I should get a day of coordinator and they told me no. I am glad I didn’t because it would’ve been a waste of money. At this venue, it wasn’t necessary. We feel like we found a hidden gem.”
