We’re Matt & Melanie! Living in our first house in Annapolis, MD, we spend our days working & our nights obsessing over our little furr babies-Olive & Willow. We fell in love at the young age of 18 & have been spending 24/7 together since. Our favorite days are when we can adventure to a new city or road-trip to a different state. We like to wander & try new coffee shops & cool restaurants. We like cuddling & watching tv on lazy days. Our style is definitely retro with lots of cozy & casual & little minimal. Our favorite weddings are the ones that are a little laid back & intimate with sentimental moments.

I spend most of my weekends as a creative Virginia wedding photographer, but I also shoot a ton of documentary lifestyle portraits and spend the weekdays photographing small-business marketing content for clients throughout Virginia and DC. On Sundays during football season, you can find us in our living room eating homemade wings and cheering on the Cowboys and yelling at the refs because let's face it, any call against Dallas is wrong. LOL, We have four wonderful children; one boy and three girls. If we aren't cheering my kids on in their sports or activities, Lauren is usually making homemade cupcakes or a new dish for my family and friends. We love meeting new friends we haven't met yet through photography and it's a blast hanging with those friends we have. At Shutter & Snap, we want to tell your story, while also being fun!

I have been a wedding photographer now for 8 years. In that time I have photographed over 350 weddings in 15 countries, across 5 different continents.
